Just wondered if anyone knows about this or have experience of this.
I’m a housing assoaction tenant and I suspected subsidence due to external wall cracks as well as many internal walls crack.
Called them up they sent a builder round to do a report and take photos he confirmed that it was, advised he would report back to the H/A and suggest that they get in touch with the lose adjusters at their insurance Co and they will send a inspector round.
Well knowing what the H/A are like I expect to get a call in a few months but they called within 2 days of the original visit and want to call round.
Now if its confirmed does anyone know what happens next?
I have different reports.
One we have to move out while they under pin up to 6 months work. Two they can do the work while you’re there. Three they will just re house you then do the work at a later stage and move new people in.
Now I have asked the question at the H/A but for some reason they don’t know the answer and the person I need to speak too is never there.

My mate's recently been through this.
He had to move out whilst the house was underpinned and was given other accomodation for about six months.
The house was repaired, he then got a new bathroom and kitchen. It was like moving back to a brand new property!
I would imagine if you have an assured tenancy agreement that they cannot force you to leave your home unless of course you want to.
