AFC Wimbledon returning to SW19

THE dream of AFC Wimbledon returning to SW19 could move a step closer in the next few weeks as Merton council considers its building programme for the next 20 years.

And Wimbledon Independent Supporters' Association (WISA) are calling on fans to back the club's bid to move back to their home town, as the council seeks comments from the public on its long-term plans.

About f*cking time. I think there should be a general government policy that prevents teams being uprooted from their area of origin.

That'd stop the local councils (stand up late 80s Greenwich and early 90s Merton) getting cocky and trying to 'evict' a team from it's rightful area.
