I’ve been missing these threads… Exciting prospects, possibly? Article says, “Not everyone will buy a Premier League club, but buy from a lower level and try to bring them up,' 'To buy a club from the First Division (The Championship) and bring it up is an even better investment.' It makes it sound like promotion is almost a must for us, now! But in our present position I would have thought that the involvement of these people could only help that current aim… One thing I’m certain of, is a takeover is going to happen, it’s just a case of when?

Leftie..
I only heard at the last home game that talks were on-going with a very interested party...
My contact looks after all charlton players insurances with the club and he knows the bloke who looks after Peter Varneys insurance and he said that a deal was still on the cards and not dead as some people think because of the 7 mill
Who it is ...??

The quote tailor-made for us surely would be
"Last year I had some people interested in Championship clubs and making enquiries. Their specific needs are that they wanted a club that has a high average crowd, with good facilities - and clubs in London"
CAFC ticks all 4 boxes as far as a PROVISIONALdeal being set-up for next season. Championship next year - tick London - tick high average crowd - tick good facilities - tick
Ain't no other London club worth talking about is there. Well is there??? What's the phone number of this geezer?

Small [roblem, we are not in the CCC and to get there we will need to strenghthen the side in January, bought players achieve more than loanees, Parky must have funds in January.

I see no reason why these guys just don't come in now? They would give the place an almighty lift, and get us the players we need to guarantee promotion, because as Reddy rightly says we tick all the other boxes! That’s how Varney should be selling us. Sack Varney… He’s bloody hopeless, ain’t doing his job properly…

Sack Varney… He’s bloody hopeless, ain’t doing his job properly… Thing with Arabs is if they want a CCC club that is what they want...you to take the risk until then!! They have a strange logic in their business dealings, so despite e.g. offering a greater advantage for them to stump-up cash NOW they would be totally intransigent. I've come across it with them and shake my head at their approach and sometimes it's advantageous if you can hold-out. Even when they have advisors in the City recommending some flexibility they would rather go fly falcons than make decisions. However when they do go-ahead...man alive do they throw money around!! So sit tight and hope that the Arabs & The Mag 7 have it lined up because if they ain't I'd put a call through to Nigeria 118 118 to find what Chief whatshisname Nzebbari is upto and if he fancies a come back of all come backs lol Naaaah!!!!
