My answer is no, yes we are doing well but I still think the team needs strengthening because one or two players are playing there because we have nobody else to come in.
A CB, LM and STR are required now and not when things start to go pear shaped, I agree with the if it's not broken don't fix it outlook but unless these positions are filled the chances of it getting broken are increased.
We simply cannot afford to have a scenario where Spring is covering for Semedo, it should be Bailey but he can't because he's out wide covering where a natural left winger should be, I dread to think if further injuries occur and we are forced to bring in for example Wagstaff for Sam, Tuna for Burton or Basey for Youga, they are kids and their education has not yet reached the level of league 1 football.
I want to see loans in as soon as we can it would be madness to wait until one or two more defeats occur mixed in with a couple of draws because all of a sudden we will find ourselves in a mini crisis and on a winless run which is not a scenario to bring new faces into because they will be under pressure straight away and then the they need time to bed in excuse will rear it's ugly head.
I say bring them in now and put them on the bench, not only will it strengthen it but the players that do play will see there is competition for places which can only be healthy for us.
As for the money being tight, ok fair enough but surely after putting £7m into the club a couple of extra salaries can be found somewhere, we'll get it back when we sell Dickson.
This is what PP has said anyway:
Meanwhile, Parkinson responded to a seemingly weekly question as to whether he would be bringing any players to the club on loan by again reiterating he was happy with what he had at his disposal for the time being.
He added: "We always speak to agents and other managers about the possibility of players if and when we need them. But it comes down to finances and at the moment we can't afford to bring someone in just for a luxury in case we might need someone further down the line.
"If we do bring someone in they'll be coming in because we want them to make a difference, but at the moment the lads are doing well."
