Our 4-5-1 neat passing football formation has to be old news now, one win in four surely proves we have been well and truly sussed out meaning that we lose our way when opponents go toe to toe with us.
Can't believe either how the loss of one player, Semedo, can have us found wanting in a 5 man midfield.
What can we do? Im expecting the f'n ell reams that's our first defeat reactions to this but if we are all honest this has been coming and we have alot more to worry about than a 3-0 defeat at Colchester because there are problems galore at the moment players have lost their way and some of them are being carried by others which affects their own game.
To have a plan B you need the personel, Burton, McLeod and Tuna are striking options that may well get you plenty of huff and puff but won't score many goals and they are what win you games.
Be interesting to hear PP's reaction tonight because I believe that for the first time this season he got the selection wrong, Sodje should have been on from the start.

Hard to replace Llera when we're not losing - should defo be dropped for Saturday though. As you may remember, my big fear pre-season was that we wouldn't be able to play 4-5-1 in this League. I was happy to be proved wrong, but - yes - we have been sussed out catastrophically. And again, the BIG problem is that we're playing Leeds on Saturday. We've looked weak in the midfield on the occasions we've reverted to 4-4-2 (remember opening day?) so the big question is - do we risk it? And (holds breath) my honest answer has to be no. I think we've got to attempt to hold Leeds off, and as illogical as it might seem not to change the formation, we have been a lot stronger playing that way. I think the key to it is Semedo. He plays that defensive midfield role so well that we've genuinely missed him the last couple of games. I'd be a lot more inclined to go 4-4-2 if he isn't fit for Leeds. I'd contemplate starting with Izale as well... But again, I think Parky will stick 4-5-1 with Deon leading the line. If we did go 4-4-2, I'm not sure which midfielder I'd drop either. Logically, it has to be Spring... But I'm not sure how well Shelvey, Bailey, Racon and Sam would work as a four... And Matt Spring DID play for Leeds for a while. Whatever happens, one thing IS definite: If Sodje is fit, Llera won't start.

We are disjointed to be honest and unbalanced with no natural left winger or a striker who can help Burton out with getting on the end of crosses.
We need a couple of players through the door so we can stop this trying to put blocks into round holes just to make a 4-5-1 formation up.

Why should Llera be dropped...Elloitt has to take the blame for rushing out not just once either...let the defenders defend if he had stayed put the header from Llera would have been fine...
Waht about Sam ...not played well since he got the award needs a kick up the arse,,,Burton can't play lone roll that is clear to everyone apart from Parky..Shelvey should be dropped he is not playing well at all....bailey is not a left winger and needs to be moved back into the centre so we can play with two wingers...
Very easy to blame one player, but we defend from the front and if there not holding the ball up then there as much to blame as the defenders..

I've already criticised Shelvey and Elliot this season, Elliot tonight saw a red mist in dashing off his line that led to the first goal, he makes some fine saves yes but just as regular he makes some terrible decisions too, as for Shelvey he looks lost at the moment.

Could play Dailly as a defensive midfielder, he has played there before. Sodje could replace him at CB

Just seen the highlights and Elliot is to blame for the third goal as well, as for Llera the more I see it the more it's his fault for the first goal, if he had stayed on his line Llera's nod back would have been very nonchalent so im erasing him from the blame for that one.

I've replayed the og several times and it looks as if Llera is trying to head the ball wide of the goal but it hits the wrong side of his head as he gets his timing wrong. Obviously Elliot coming out doesnt help, but the error is really Llera I think.
