What do you think Andy? This internet lark has proved one thing. Everyone has different asperations .... Some fans wanted to see better football than they perceived we got in the Premier... They even said relegation was good because the Coca Cola was going to deliver that… That didn’t happen, so then they applied the same theory for the third division… and on & on.. Then there are the fans that are just happy the club exists, and of course there are dreamers who want a lot more… Everyone has a different Charlton… Which is why I've never bought into this “have we got our Charlton back” mentality…“OUR Charlton” … What‘s that?
“Is the future bright”.. If the current boards supposed aspirations for the club don't come to fruition, ie: a prosperous takeover...The answer for me, is a resounding… No! Fair enough, that obviously hasn’t come about, yet, so hopefully this latest boardroom reshuffle, is no more than just short term strategy… For those fans who want to see sustained top flight football a lot more than “the magnificent seven” needs to be in place… So for me, thank goodness their priority is still to sell the club…

"relegation was good" , never ever in a million years, them folk that said that must have been completely mad and very small minded, as you say the 'our Charlton' mentality. Charlton will never be 'ours' no matter how much we wish it to be, it belongs to a board of directors and banks. The fact is, most clubs, if they could finance and run a club without fans they would, we the fans are a pain in the arse to be frank. Finance is the main driver behind football, religation is a death sentance to clubs that cant sustain the loss of income.
Cant agree with you more on the 'bright future', Murray and Co's pockets are only so deep , they are far from oil rich arabs or industry mogals ,, which is a shame, Hatters 40 million is small change when some of these guys have 200 million pound mega yhacts in St Catherines dock ! Give them credit though on the 'bail out' because thats what it now, far from a take over. I have a feeling that the numerous board members have been greedy with thier demands from prospective new owners and thats why they ran. Reducing the main members to 7 can only be a good thing where major decissions are concerned, however I do hope this isnt an ego trip at the cost of CAFC ??

Completely mad is how I see them as well, but they’re out there, as are many other fractions, and the proof of it, is everywhere, especially on the glorious internet.. I do believe everyone has THEIR Charlton… But I’m never buying into this OUR Charlton nonsense! FFS some have even said to me “why don’t you support Chelsea or whoever, you’re a glory seeker“… Like it’s a crime to seek glory for your club… Agree I hope this isn’t an ego trip either. The last time Murray publicly went on one of them, was when Curbs left, and we all know what disasters followed … I don’t believe this is though, because what they’ve officially stated as they’re priority for the club, is ultimately what I wanted to hear.. I don’t believe this “Magnificent 7” will be in place long-term, anyway … “Magnificent 7”... Murray could get away with the Yul Brynner, bit....The King and the other half a dozen …..
