Optimist, this same info that bexleyboy has posted on CL was posted on here by Reams yesterday.
Maybe Murray IS assembling his own consortium. It's possible, why not?
I don't know who this guy Sir Maurice Hatter is? What his background is, personal wealth or anything really. Anyone care to throw some light on this?

Sir Maurice Hatter, doesn't look like he has the type of money that a football club can gobble up these days. £40m personal wealth.... How much is he going to pump in then? Maybe he still sees us as a "cause”… He appears to have charitable concerns...
Googled:-
Sir Maurice Hatter: Personal wealth: £40m Maurice Hatter Foundation Hatter, 72, owns the London-based electronic components company IMO Precision Controls, which he established in the late 1950s with only £100. Since setting up his foundation in 1987, his charitable concerns have mainly been medicine, education and Jewish causes. One significant donation led to the establishment of the Hatter Institute for Cardiovascular Studies at University College Hospital, London, in 1990. Other donations have been invested in a full research laboratory at the University of Cape Town Medical School and the Haifa university in Israel - also known as the University of Peace. In 1997, £1m was given to the British government's literacy programme. Hatter was knighted in 1999.

The way I understand is whilst Sir Maurice will not be throwing shed fulls at the club, his involvement alone is what will be the big draw for other wealthy businessmen to join ranks.
His name alone and being part of something that he is involved in apparantly holds alot of sway.

Also he is the honary life president of the club. Which would help bring in other buiness people. As a last resort we could take the club on dragons den to see if we could get investment.
