Looking at the fixtures for February , Sunderland have 7 league games in the month , whereas we only have 4 , hopefully if we can keep a winning run going , the teams around us will surely struggle to match us...

It's about 50/50, but historically games in hand against relegation return more points than using games in hand to gain promotion, so not overly worried about the teams around us.
Momentum is everything.

One of the o/s games missed earlier is Luton vs Portsmouth so they can't both win and will secure either two or three points between them. It's too early to analyse the effect of our management decision on the FA Cup but by end of February we will ideally have a fresher squad and will have caught our four rivals for the top two.
As posted before, what matters is for us to keep backing Bow and the lads and what our team actually looks like in February. Some are already saying that a midfield of Cullen, Bielik, Williams plus one is just not fair against Acrington!

Having said that a rhythm of Saturdays only with a week to recuperate and work on drills and tactics from Monday to Friday will keep the boys fresh with hopefully lots of healthy competition. That has to be brilliant for Bows and Jacko and the target of 54 points from 18 games ππππ

That has to be brilliant to Bows and Jacko and the target of 54 points from 18 games ππππ No danger of the dressing room becoming over confident since the management, the defence and the bench were here last March and know to take it as it comes. The midfield might be on loan from a much higher level but we've not seen any of them take it easy, have we? When all is said and done this team is playing for a very lucrative career in the Championship - that might be with us or another club. Bow and Gallen have picked them because in their judgement they were the right players to improve upon last season. Add that to your comment about the weekly cycle and we have the makings of an elusive winning culture. As for the fans and social media, who knows? There's always a temptation to go over the top at the actual results but underneath that, many can see a very decent first 18 emerging. All we might ask is that we are still in the top four or five come March and then we will see how it goes from there.

One of Pompey, Luton or Sunderland will drop off... we must ensure we donβt...just playing Saturdays is a useful advantage- we must also win at Posh..,

I was referring more to us fans in terms of overconfidence and not the boys Red π

Another interesting part about all of this, is that aside from the games in hand, Doncaster, Portsmouth and Luton (replay tomorrow) are still in the FA Cup and Sunderland, Peterborough and Portsmouth (again) are still in the Checkatrade. Only Barnsley are on a par with us in that respect. Points on the board could be quite important.
