Lb in no rush to replace ajose I see this as a 2 week trial for Ajose. If he does well there may be a swop deal involving CJ Hamilton at the end of it. If he doesn't impress then we'll just look elsewhere and leave him where he is until the end of the season then bump him off.

I shall miss the Bertie big bollocks walk. That’s an excellent description. I’ve never liked his seemingly arrogant walk either. It certainly didn’t do him any favours. Interesting the way LB has handled this. I reckon he gave Ajose a chance and, for example, he played more at the end of last season than I expected. He’s also been positive about his contribution (at least in public). Despite that, he’s now been very decisive. Impressive I’d say.

Some comments from Stags.Net:
"Wow, what a signing. Scored 25 goals in a league one season a couple of years back. Exciting stuff!!"
"Happy with this! Thought he looked sharp when he played against us earlier in the season, Absolute rapid as well."
"Seems a natural finisher. All sorts of goals here - tap in, top-corner smasher, free-kick, peno, all sorts."

Maybe he’ll now score the goals that he would of done had he had the same opportunities as Taylor and Grant....!! 😂😂
Complete waste of money the fella , the clearout has begun....

Decisive, perhaps ruthless and all part of a transformation of our squad and the culture behind the scenes. Important to be positive in public and absolutely clear at the training ground when communicating the values and requirements to take us to the next level. No first hand ITK feed, just observing the number of bookings and fouls together with the commitment for 95 minutes every game. One by one, Bowyer and Gallen are replacing the squad they inherited. And at this stage we really only miss Dasilva and Konsa from last time. Players like Marshall are given an opportunity to contribute from the bench - players like Ajose cannot make the bench! With Page, Pearce and Aribo are back in a month or two, we look like we will have a very competitive squad. Additions like Williams, Purrington and Maxwell will assist - replacing Ajose will also contribute.

Bow said all the right things whilst he and Stevie Gallen line up a final player coming in on loan.
I like your thoughts Reams about CJ Hamilton - it’s a very interesting thought but I’m sure that SG has other options for Bows to consider.
Boy we appear to be having all our christmases at once - bloody marvellous.
Like the report that we now have another tranche of Posh away tickets - we could take 2,300 odd 2hich will compare with that fabulous trip to Pompey last spring 🤗

Shame I was working or I’d have driven him up there...useless joke of a footballer who never got his kit dirty... hopeless...

Good luck to him , maybe he can kickstart his career again . He really needs to make the most of this opportunity to start scoring again , like Grant did .
No loss to us , and glad to see him gone to be honest . He never lived up to our hopes of expectations, and never really looked like he wanted to be here .

I went one year with my son , Phil Parkinson was manager , so maybe 2008 or 2009 , it was a really great day , all the squad was there on a Sunday and some even bought their own kids along , the absolute stars of the day were Nicky Bailey and Rob Elliot , who had so much time for the kids and adults alike but there was the younger crew , wearing those grey tracksuits and spending the whole couple of hours on their mobiles begrudgingly posing for photos when a kid actually plucked up courage to interrupt their little group... won’t name names but I’m sure you can guess who.. Makes you laugh that some of these guys couldn’t spend a couple of hours away from their exciting life’s to chat and pose for photos with kids without it looking like the biggest chore in the world.. I remember going one of the Sparrows Lane fun/open days once, the kids loved it, what ever happened to them.

No way is he coming to us.

Started for Mansfield last night. Not much has changed though. Here’s an excerpt from the Sky Sports report on the game;
“Ajose somehow lifted a low Walker cross over from five yards.”
