I went one year with my son , Phil Parkinson was manager , so maybe 2008 or 2009 , it was a really great day , all the squad was there on a Sunday and some even bought their own kids along , the absolute stars of the day were Nicky Bailey and Rob Elliot , who had so much time for the kids and adults alike but there was the younger crew , wearing those grey tracksuits and spending the whole couple of hours on their mobiles begrudgingly posing for photos when a kid actually plucked up courage to interrupt their little group... won’t name names but I’m sure you can guess who..
Makes you laugh that some of these guys couldn’t spend a couple of hours away from their exciting life’s to chat and pose for photos with kids without it looking like the biggest chore in the world..

Certainly been a massive disappointment for me . Will be moved on ASAP I would think . January with any luck! Can't see many wanting/affording him though to be honest (He must be on a decent wedge with us). He is living off of one good season at Swindon, he was shite before that and shite since. Simply cannot stand that Billy Big Bollocks walk of his. Because he started at Man. Utd, he thinks he is something that he really, really isn't! Have seen the photo, and yes, he looks completely disinterested, probably because none of the kids want his autograph! Get rid asap!

Scored tonight but poor again . A decent pass into Taylor and it would have been 3 0 and game over .
Then he keeps the ball in play in a dangerous area and gives it straight to one of their players, to set up a goal chance for them . I hope Grant is fit for Saturday.

I think Nicky Ajose is the first Charlton player this season to come on as a sub and score a goal in a league match.
Considering how well placed the team is in the league, it is remarkable that we have done it with almost no contribution from the bench so far.

Really...? That’s an amazing stat , I bet there’s been half a dozen scored by subs against us... and last season was similar I seem to remember...

He was poor but he wasn't as poor as Marshall's corners and free kicks

Does this mean that Nicky Ajose is up for it?
Desperate for the guy to do well.

Does this mean that Nicky Ajose is up for it? Desperate for the guy to do well. I’d love him to turn things around for himself and do well . He might get an opportunity now if Grant is injured . He did look better when playing off Taylor recently, and even set up scoring chances . He doesn’t help himself with that cocky walk of his , and he comes across as sullen and not very likeable. His opinion that given a long run in the team , he would score as many goals as Taylor and Grant , is just that ,.... his opinion . He obviously doesn’t impress enough in training , or in the times he has played , to warrant being selected . You have to earn that right . Ive always wanted him to succeed , and prove people wrong , but until now , he is living on past glories , and needs to prove his worth all over again . If he starts scoring goals again , peoples opinions of him will soon changes.

He's constantly on his heels and only reacts to what is going on around him. There's nothing proactive about him. I want him to do well but I just can't see it happening until he drops a level.

He is just a poor footballer FULL STOP... Didn’t KR used to say he was the best finisher in the squad...? Well he’s never proved that on the pitch since he’s been here , his passing is atrocious as he proved Tuesday evening which ultimately nearly cost us 3 points by us not finishing Portsmouth off , and as tonaddick says he always seems to be on his heels , not a great footballing brain the fella...

Been very disappointed in him thought when we got him was going to be a cracking little goalscorer. But it hasn't turned out that way another talent that looks like hes going the same way as Tony Watt.

Too much (pretend) swagger and no end product unless we play Pompey. A quality striker to compliment Karlan and The Man Taylor is the missing piece of the jigsaw 👍

Right now though, he is, as they say in cowboy country, "All hat and no cattle".
