Would they all have stayed away if Chris Powell was in charge? I will always see Lee Bowyer as more of a Charlton legend than Powell.

CP played during some of our greatest days as a club in the Premiership winning more England caps than LB on the way. LB was a good player but left us as a comparative youngster when his best days as a player were to come. Turning to them as managers, same thing. CP whatever you think of him as a Manager won something while managing us. LB on the other hand has yet to win or achieve anything. That is not to say he will not do so in the future, but you are making a comparison now.

Good to see we're signing a few players, a magic money tree must have appeared from somewhere.

Clearly as we have multiple groups interested but nobody able to get a deal over the line the common denominator for the problem must be Roland. Clearly you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
From CAST: There followed a question and answer session in which many of your questions were addressed. The club has agreed to post a record of this as soon as possible and we will publish a link to it when it appears on the club website. Here is a brief list of the main topics covered:
RD is still keen to sell the club and now is a good time because of the transfer window In the meantime the club is run as normal - ie not being run down. Promotion is still the aim. RD is prepared to continue funding the loss (c.£0.5m per month) until a sale can be achieved. He wouldn't think himself foolish for doing so. LDT does not doubt the credibility of the Australian/USA group (AU group) even though after 22 months they have not been able to complete the deal. Agreement on price with the AU group and the British group does not mean that another group could not overtake them at a lower price if they were in a position to complete. LDT did not quote a price of £72m to a Middle-Eastern group before Christmas. He would not quote a price without an NDA in place. LDT did not agree that the current bidders were not serious people Lee Bowyer is kept updated but not about every detail. Richard Murray knows the British group but is not part of it. Former Director loans are not an issue in the delay of a sale being concluded. Steve Gallen is working on the issue of players who are out of contract at the end of the season and will give an update at the next Fans Forum.

Thanks to BexleyBoy for the most accurate updates anybody has provided. I don't know who is feeding him - and clearly they are doing so for their own motives. Anybody leaking info from whatever negotiations have taken place over the last 12 months, has not been doing so because they believe in transparency and openess. They've been doing it to promote their own agenda. But BB hss a better source than Mr 'deal done' Everitt, "James Seed" ( who was clearly used like a tool by the Aussies), the weird deus-ex-machina know-it-alls such as "Angeldust" and "redhenry", Jim White or anyone else. Hahaha!! Good one

So what have you added to the debate? Well, he got you out to play, didn't he, 'Jimmy Seed'. ? It wasn’t him, it was the article that Reams posted about his dad, and his comments about it, that I found rather moving. I’m a great believer in finding common ground, even when people express opinions which might be polar opposite from one’s own. There is a tendency amongst some to just unrelentingly hammer anyone who has views they don’t agree with. It’d be good to rise above that, as you might if you were down the pub with someone, rather than sitting behind a keyboard. Happy to debate anything within reason, but it’d be great to keep it friendly, even if being critical.

Is the meeting about Funds?. No, it is about who posted the papers to the EFL. I hope they took it to the post office and checked their size on the pretend letterbox so as to use the correct stampage...

Is the meeting about Funds?. No, it is about who posted the papers to the EFL. No I was being ironic. This says a lot about the Aussies. CARD representatives have today met EFL officials in London at the league’s invitation as part of its ongoing review into the situation at Charlton Athletic. An amicable and wide-ranging discussion took place and the tone was positive. EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey confirmed that he is still in contact with club owner Roland Duchatelet, including over the sale of the club. The EFL is clear that Duchatelet wants to sell the club. Harvey said that a deal had been at an advanced stage in 2018 but the buyers - known as “the Australians” - had then been unable to provide additional information requested by the EFL (in line with its regulations) to allow the transaction to proceed. That information is still outstanding. Once it is provided, the league would look to progress matters. This can be done quickly. The EFL confirmed that their review would include issues raised publicly by Duchatelet as well as their own lines of enquiry and that their findings would be shared with all participants in the review, including CARD, and hence come into the public domain. Harvey recognises the need to expedite the process but may also seek to meet the local press for their perspective before finalising it. CARD pressed the EFL on the issue of the outstanding staff bonuses and expressed concern at the delay in resolving the situation. We were reassured to hear that the EFL’s involvement in it is ongoing and that Harvey plans to put a proposal to Duchatelet to resolve it in advance of the general review being concluded. We spent some time discussing the EFL’s club charter and expressed concern that it did not cover the relationship between clubs and supporters. We questioned the current governance of the club and the lack of day-to-day executive oversight. The EFL said that the club was meeting the requirements of its regulations but recognised the extent to which the football administration and crowd safety arrangements in particular are currently dependent on a small number of dedicated long-serving employees. The EFL has asked us to record that it recognises that the fact no matchday protests are currently taking place does not mean that Charlton supporters are happy with the present situation. The meeting was attended by Heather Alderson, Alan Davis and Rick Everitt for CARD and Shaun Harvey, John Nagle (head of policy) and Mark Rowan (communications director) for the EFL.

No, it is about who posted the papers to the EFL. So you're saying that the paperwork is or has been submitted? No they are still waiting for it to be satisfactorily presented according to CARD today.
