Not sure if there are any serving lads or lasses on here? Plenty of Charlton games usually available for free to Troops 👍👍👍, I get a fair few games most seasons from here.

Not from a family with any recent military connections myself, but I have great respect for the men and women who serve to defend our freedom and sometimes that of others who cannot defend themselves.
Free access to league football is only the most modest of ways we can thank them for their service. I would hope that is the policy at all football Clubs, and if it is so at Charlton Athletic it makes me even more proud to be a fan.

Cheers lardiman- Charlton are very Forces friendly 👍- when I was in Afghanistan in 2012 my wife wrote to the club to say I was a massive fan and could they send a few autographs out for me, they sent me a first team shirt with my name printed on the back- and it was signed by the whole squad!! Absolutely amazing gesture and I treasure it to this day and always will, I got it framed.

It would not surprise me if our club affection and support for the Forces is in someway historically aligned to Jim Davidson's tours of overseas camps and those on duty.
