To get to the ground then you have to walk towards where he and his side kick stand on Floyd Road. It's when I got to within where he could hear me I shouted what I did Raj, no need to go up to him as that's already been done a couple of months ago so he knows where he stands with me.

If you believe that all people judge big guys as aggressive, you must also believe that all small guys are passive. Neither of these are true. Maybe you live in a world where big is bad and small is good, which cannot be that great for your girlfriend / wife etc

That's nothing to be proud of is it as he's a harmless old boy...(cue abuse) I agree, he is harmless, but people thinking he's a warrior makes him look harmful. Some have become very animated around the different perspectives. But it's just a "dance" after every game. We have reached an interesting place where whoever owns the club in January, it's abundantly clear we need a couple of quality additions to the squad. That some will suddenly jump on board and support the team after a takeover is just part of being Charlton. The spectrum ranges from "the Belgians are destroying the club"* to "We deserved another win but for the ref" The reality is that We've stopped changing managers every six months and we are now a top six club. People can spin that whichever way they choose. *Strikes me that the anti Belgian mantra is self fulfilling for some 2,000 fans who won't return until the club is sold, no matter that we are play-off contenders.

According to Rick, Katrien Meire was at Mishcon De Reya on Monday 6th November, discussing due diligence items.

So based on that we are sold then are we?
Is he her stalker or what?
Please somebody tell him that he is not getting his job or Millennium Lounge bar privileges back. He is living in another and World just clinging on to his dream.
All Rick Everitt cares about is Rick Everitt, surely that's obvious by now.

No, any number of companies could carry out due diligence (looking at Charlton's accounts etc), without a sale going ahead. It's a bit like when your house is up for sale & someone has a look round and then appoints a surveyor. Whether a sale goes ahead, depends on what is found and if a price can be agreed, but there must be some sort of agreement on price, because you're not going to let any old Tom, Dick or Harry trawl through your business, unless you think they are a serious buyer.

Rumours that RD is interested in buying Anderlecht... Get some decent players from them ? It could be true but I doubt it, as he said he wanted to get out of football before age 75, so unless he's had a change of heart, it wouldn't make sense to buy another club.

I am led to believe that the original bidder has lost all patience with the current owner. This is because the deal structure was to include Duchâtelet keeping a share in the club, more than likely the stadium and/or the training facility or some equity in both. This bid originated from Australia I am also led to believe. There is however another interested party who are willing to acquire the club lock stock and barrel, but the two sides valuations do not meet and the difference is substantial. My contact believes that Duchâtelet is keen to keep a holding in the club as I previously alluded to. This would be a deal of some complexity and thrashing it out may have hit one stumbling block too many.

Sorry mate but you are wrong ... the deal was agreed in the summer including the valley and all RD shares only for the Aussies to lose their funding .... the latest bid covers The Valley , Shares , Training ground and repaying former directors , the bid is well over 50 mill ( some on here know the amount )

I would imagine if he keeps part of the club in some form after a sale then a lot of protesters will be seriously pissed off. Any new owners would then be seen as colluding with RD and the cycle continues. Would RD do that purposely to agitate or can he still see profits to be made somewhere in the club?

Well that was the biggest pile of fake news this year then!
Reported takeover by Rick et al (again) Alledged takeover hits stumbling blocks Alledged takeover falls through
But wait.....
Another party is interested!!!
Yet they won’t meet RD valuation!
WHICH IS WHAT MOST HAVE SAID IN THE FIRST PLACE!
Our club is not worth the amount RD would want for a freehold sale in league one, therefore, he would want a stake in the club (obviously).
Still at least Rick has gained some sales eh!

Fairly obvious if a takeover was going to happen, it would have happened by now. All this price agreement/due diligence queries/partial buyout/fund raising is just a smokescreen. There really cannot be that much difficulty in purchasing an organisation the size of CAFC - despite the type of business. RD only took four weeks for his purchase.
If he wants to sell, then he will sell. If not he will keep to his inflated asking price and continue as he is. Shame really as I felt this was a golden opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start afresh with some (hopefully) ambitious owners.
Now STVV is off his hands, perhaps he will be more interested in involving himself with the Club and will invest more than a few free transfers in January.
Here's hoping
