That seems likely AD. New owners would be starting afresh so new management in and almost certainly playing staff will be changed dramatically to suit the new set up. Powell shipped out most players at season end and brought in over 20new faces to begin the following season. That could happen again. Hopefully we have enough points to keep us up this season if RD starts selling off our players to claw back some of his dough. It could get real difficult for the team now.

Or we win today, and shudder to think, move into the play off positions. It will be interesting to see whether or not Holmes leaves. And if he does whether that allows us to be more direct and more effective. Whatever happens, we need owners committed to moving us back into the championship. RD has tried to do it in a sustainable manner and failed. Time for someone else to have a go, but be careful with what we end up with this. Another set of asset strippers like Cash and Jimenez could be the final nail in the coffin.

Hardly anything positive has happened during the last four years , split fan base , petty arguments , relegation but I suppose we have some new empty seats. Why is our luck always fucked and Fuck you Duchatelet.

No sign of McLeish today despite the suburbs of Manchester being closer to his home than what The Valley is?

Wonder if that signals Murray’s involvement with any new owners?

Have to echo every word KR says.
You can take it from em 110% that while Richard is still involved we have every chance as a Football Club.
Had a good chat with him at the Portsmouth game. He would never tell me anything he didn't want me to know but trusts me with what he can share.
He reads this forum often.

How can anyone be scared shitless about Murray? Is he a mass murderer or something? So much for the ‘unifying’ qualities of the anti RD crowd ....

Wow, what a conversation I've just had!! If this is all true and comes off there's going to be a few people still not happy. Seems like the Wednesday or Thursday announcement could well be true. Been told there was/are 3 sealed bids for the club. One of those isn't the Aussies as they they enquired in the summer to come in and control via a management structure and share of academy RD and KM was not interested. Don't know who the other two are but the one who this person thinks looks to be "a done deal" is interesting. There's 2 British fellas and 1 Swiss fella with a combined wealth of £2.8b. If they are successful Alex McLeish will be installed as Director of football and Donald Muir as Financial Director. Not sure what would happen with Robbo yet. Not to much info on the Swiss or one of the brits but the other one is said to be none other than Mike Ashley. Although he wouldn't have full control as he obviously already owns a club, but can obtain shares! Makes sense with the relationship McLeish, Muir and Ashley had with Rangers.

A big ‘IF’ but if your’e right th3n we all have to salute our leader - please take a bow Reams!! Paul has repeatedly commented that he has a gut feeling that Ashley will have a significant interest in a deal. Whether it happens and, if so, whether it will be a deal made in heaven or a deal made in hell is all in the future. But one thing is certain is that the current uncertainty needs to be ended soon, very soon

Would definitely take mike Ashley , and despite what reasons may be given to say he’s not what we want/need - he would only have a small stake and certainly not a controlling one! The other British guy & Swiss (If true) are interesting

Funny, I was reading an article just the other day about former Spurs defender Ramon Vega. Vega owns a Swiss Asset Management Company and spends a lot of time in London? Another Swiss based businessman is British born, Jim Ratcliffe who owns Ineos. He bought Swiss club Lausanne Sports last year and has an ambition of getting them into Europe within four years which there is little chance of in my opinion. www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-41969921www.ft.com/content/36d6496c-caf2-11e7-aa33-c63fdc9b8c6cThese I should point out are wild guesses.

This could be telling, from his wiki page! “In February 2009, Vega unsuccessfully bid to purchase Premier League team and FA Cup holders Portsmouth from its owner Alexandre Gaydamak; however, he was consistently able to demonstrate an ability to secure financing for his proposal.”
