They cry out for new signings slagging off RD and KM on the way then when one comes along all they want to do is dig up the players past.
I have never come across a more, biased, clueless, spiteful, group of people in my life, some of them should just piss off and support somebody else, who do they think they are?
It is no surprise that the club have Charlton Life right up there alongside the Trust when it comes down to looking down their noses at a collective bunch of interfering, over opinionated, losers who they despair.
There are some right idiots over there at the moment displaying their marriage guidance skills with regards to Bergdich, he's hardly Stan Collymore!!

Used to be run well but the last 2/3 months it's gone down hill big time, bullying culture that as you say the so called mods turn a blind eye to.
So many people have been banned for that in the past but these days they turn a blind eye to it, you only have to look at how Bexleyboy gets treated to realise how much it's gone down hill, the fact that it's allowed to continue shows just how much they need people posting on there.

That's because nobody on here has never had their noses put out by the club and we don't pretend to be important or have a we were here before you were attitude towards RD & KM.
In the Murray era when lots of arse kissing was going on, people on CL both individually and collectively were welcomed on the other side, these days they are not and a high level of resentment has been born out of it which is why you get post upon post of people criticising them at every given opportunity.
What I don't get is these people think they are important....take it from me they're not and their card is marked, even the players are dissuaded from looking at it.

I used to say that two thirds of the people on CL were level headed in the main. Well as far as I can see the level headed have become infected. It's supposed to be a place to relax and share views, but lately it's resembling a school playground with no teachers.
It should be renamed "Strutting Peacocks"

I would simply leave them to it and concentrate on developing discussion on here. This place seems to have football as a priority discussing the merits of what has happened and what might happen next. I've been outspoken in the past and have some straightforward views which comes down to asking / stating whether our club is going in the right direction. We either improve next season or we don't - it's that simple. If we do improve then all those criticising the club, players, staff and owner look incredibly stupid. And if we don't improve, are those 50 something know it all going to announce "I told you so"? History is written by the victors not the losers.  We've had another week without any signings which is not good. But the feeding frenzy on CL is not proportional... 'nuff said. |

As we all one big happy family on here, lets make sure we keep the balance..... which includes letting Don post. Otherwise this site quickly becomes very tedious because all you get are the same 3/4 posters waffling on very tediously about Starprix (whatever that is), or fantasising about being the next Hayley from Coronation Street ....or walking around with a tent pole in their trousers every time we are linked with an Albanian full back. I do believe that Mundell has just joined this site. I always enjoyed his posts on CL, he is just the sort of alternative poster this site should be encouraging. Without the likes of dickplumb and @returnofthedon this site is fucked, so it's up the the Supreme Moderator to keep people on board, particularly when "Supreme" himself tends to change his views on a daily basis..... |

Don't talk to me about them disco, I had aright ding dong with some bloke on there in the week who decided to get personal and question my credibility as a fan. Now you all know me, you may as well show a red rag to a bull when it comes down to things like that but he wouldn't leave it so I took it to PM stage and it got heated.
I have had one or two people contact me saying that the bloke has reported it to the Police and the club which is fine, bring it on, I have a screen shot of everything before he could delete it. I just don't get why a person who does the abusing then suddenly turns on the tears when he is requested to repeat it in person, claiming he is being threatened??

Have to agree that Prague Addick (Richard Hunt) is a cringe worthy attention seeker, who cannot bear to be out of the limelight now that his best mate Richard Murray is about as popular as a condom with a hole in it. Isn't it amazing that while Sir Dicky was busy running Charlton down the shitter, we never heard so much as a squeak from either Prague or his equally self regarding mates? There is a minority who will use whatever they can throw at the new regime and anyone who doesn't hanker after some idealised version of the past.
Bottom line is that Slater/Jiminez/Powell left us in a higher division than when we started but the squad they left at the end was bottom six.
We are now a stabilised mid-table club with a very rich owner but some are still looking for problems everywhere.
That doesn't mean everything is rosy for we need to see evidence that yhe board is taking the step to the next level. But we are in a better place than we have been for nearly ten years because the two other times we finished top half (10th under Pardew and 9th under Powell) were both followed by the squad and finances falling apart.
The fans and back office staff have nothing to do with financing the club and acquiring, developing and retaining decent talent. Some would have you believe they do and that everything would be better the way it was.
When a whole site becomes dedicated to nostalgia and attacking new ideas then it's time to move on - well certainly for me. Again there is room for criticism but let's take a measured view of the whole squad at the end of August compared to January 2014 and any other time in the past.
People are starting to notice that loans from Liege weren't such a bad idea and that selling Gomez for c.£5m is better than less than £1m for Poyet.

Makes you laugh that a few Lifers are up in arms about Bergdich signing because if found guilty (no chance) of the domestic abuse charge he will be unavailable for several matches.
However they wanted us to sign Dundee United's Nadir Ciftci who has since signed for Celtic. Ciftci has had a misconduct charge hanging over him for a few weeks but today has been found guilty of biting Jim McAlister in last season's Dundee derby and banned for 8 games, two suspended!!!

Spot on mate, CL would have gone into meltdown if Lookie had gone to Palace! Every word that comes out of the club is spun to their benefit so that they can slag the club off. There's even a thread now trying to sell a red protest shirt, desperate or what. What made me laugh last Saturday was the amount of black and white protest shirts worn in the ground. I thought they were never going to enter the Valley ever again whilst RD owns the club! |
