If you look at all the clubs that are owned by RD, it seems that he uses his influence in Standard Liege and Charlton:
Alcorcon: he is the official president but the club seems to stay "Spanish", no transfer to and from other teams in the network.
Carl Zeiss Jena: same deal. Only Guy Luzon who was an "advisor" between his job at Liege and his job at Charlton, probably to keep him in.
Ujpest FC: officially owned by his son Roderick, who is the president (but can be concidered as a part of the network), there were some transfers in the beginning, but that seems to be stopped (rumours are that the Duchatelet family wants to get rid of the club)
Sint Truiden (Duchatelets first team), it seems that Duchatelet only keeps the club because this was the tclub of his heart, he was a supporter before he became an owner. But no transfers between St.Truiden and the oher teams.
I wonder why he buys several teams but only seems intrested in two of them....

I'm sure a couple of players have gone to St truiden from Liege, and Polish Pete is on loan from us aswell. I don't think Roland could explain his actions himself tbh.

Very impressive work eljova and welcome to our forum  The thing that jumps out at me is Sint Truiden (St-Trond)are basically Standard Liege B and this will be a big problem next season when they are both in the same league. They will need a whole new team and that will cost money so I can see RD selling Standard Liege but where will the money go? To help us become a Premier League club or to Sint Truiden so they can become the new Standard? |

We know sixth place is the goal for us and he's proposed to change the rules in Jupiler so the top eight do their play-offs. Now we know top six over here will take at least four more quality players but top eight in Jupiler not a big ask. He keeps his cards close to his chest which is his right. So we can just watch the games and the transfers to see what's going on. Every network club except Liege is in a better place than 12 months ago so he has some idea of what he's doing. |
