From Standard Liege, can play on either side of midfield and can use both feet.
Quite an exciting player who has fallen out with Luzon over the summer.

Here's a video of him scoring both goals in a 2-1 win vs. Anderlecht (nearly 2 years ago).
Skip to 3:30 and 4:50 for the goals - the second is well worth a look. Buyens and Ajdarevic also featured in the game.

He turned down a loan move to us earlier this summer.
I'm guessing that the fallout with Luzon that Reams mentioned has reached the point of no return and RD, Bob and Katrien are giving it another go.
They might have more luck this time around given the start we've had. He would be a good addition.

RD cannot tell any player where he has to play.
This is from last season, it appears that things have changed.

After watching the videos, it appears that he would be a good fit at CAFC. A tricky, fast winger and a good crosser of the ball. Could turn out to be a good player for us, if he signs.

It's all falling into place and no fear of breaching FFP with strategic loans from SL

Looks like it's a done deal. Without seemingly pessimistic, I have seen this so often about different players lately, it is becoming unbelievable. Without wishing to doubt your info Reams, is this one going to happen

I suppose if that was taken tonight the question that needs asking is why is he not in a hotel in Brighton getting to know his new team mates?

The video you posted was the only good game he played for standard de liège. No one was really a fan of him (the coaches gave him many chances to proof himself but could never show his talent. Positive point is that he is a very hard worker. I hope he will explode in Chalrton Athletics.

Positive point is that he is a very hard worker. I hope he will explode in Chalrton Athletics. Obviously, if he did the job for SL, he would not be coming to us, but hopefully, there is a good player there, that wants to prove himself and show SL they were wrong.

Looking at how Standard used him over the 2 seasons I am not really surprised he did not progress. He made his name as a left sided midfielder with Caen putting circa 40 appearances in Ligue 1. SL played him almost exclusively on the right and of course last season he fell foul of the much maligned Luzon "rotation plan".
The lad clearly has some ability. He has not "pulled up any trees" over the past 2 seasons but he has the opportunity to show what he can do.
Off topic it pleasingly will allow Cousins a break from trying to do "a job for the team".
Cousins can be really proud of the contribution he has made to a team 5 league games undefeated.
He just needs a quick break to get back to what he does best in a central midfield or defensive role. He will put pressure on Jackson and provide good cover for Buyens. I still remain convinced he will be best in his more natural role at right back or in central defence. That Powell did not allow him some opportunity to develop the season before last while giving Solly some rest still bugs me.
The emergence of Gomez complicates matters a little but he will ultimately move into a more central defensive role. I would be quite chuffed to see a defensive group with academy graduates Cousins, Gomez and Fox all competing for 1st team spots.
