Can't they cover the pitch?
Seems like a no brainer.

Given we play at The Valley in what was originally excavated land , the rain water runs down from the East Stand regardless as to whether the pitch is covered. It's called gravity and only way to deal with it is to spend many hundreds of thiusands on underground drainage. Then again another solution is to move to the a Peninsula site ............

The drainage has been damaged when the North Stand was re-built that is why there is a major problem at that end...going to cost thousands to do the work to correct it,,

seemed to be worst in front of me in the East.
By the way meant to have a go at the bloke who made some comment about East Stand w-nkers from Kent the other day. But forgot, that's age I suppose, probably makes his point for him.

Club twitter said Andrew Sykes pumped 20,000 gallons of water off of the training ground but the valley pitch is fine and playable, so boxing should be on
