A couple of e/w bets, if you're so inclined, for Ascot next week.
Gold Cup: Estimate
Hunt Cup: Border Legend
Sure Reams will be offering some also as he has done recently.

Ok don't expect the five winners and two seconds that I gave you all on Derby Day but let's at least have a go at it. I went to Ascot for Frankel's last race on Champions Day last year and it is a Grand place to go for racing but Royal Ascot has never been a lucky meeting for me so let's see if we can change that today. Here goes below are the runners and riders for a quality day of racing: sports.williamhill.com/bet/en-gb/betting/t/262/Royal-Ascot.htmlReams selections are as follows: ASCOT 2:30PM SELECTION - ANIMAL KINGDOM - EVENS ...........DANGER - DECLARATION OF WAR - 12/1 ASCOT 3:05PM SELECTION - SOLE POWER - 9/1 ...........DANGER - SWISS SPIRIT 8/1 ASCOT 3:40PM SELECTION - MAGICIAN 9/4 ...........DANGER - DAWN APPROACH - 13/8 ASCOT 4.25PM SELECTION - THUNDER STRIKE 8/1 ...........DANGER - WAR COMMAND 11/1 ASCOT 5:00PM SELECTION - SURAJ 16/1 ...........DANGER - JUSTIFICATION - 15/2 ASCOT 5:35PM SELECTION - JUSTICE DAY 16/1 ...........DANGER - EXTORTIONIST - 22/1 EACH WAY DOUBLE - SURAJ AND THUNDER STRIKE EACH WAY TREBLE - MAGICIAN,SURAJ,THUNDER STRIKE GOOD LUCK!!!

Get in there we are off to a flyer with my danger selection in the first Declaration of War. I took the 12/1 but I believe he came back at 15/2.
I asked the jockey Joseph O'Brien, Aiden's son if he was going to win when I spoke to him at Leopardstown last Thursday and he said he has every chance, to right he did!!

Dawn Approach wins the 3:45pm and I am absolutely delighted for him after coming stone last in the Derby. 1m 4f at Epsom was not his distance but today he proved what a special horse he is and as I told you at the start of the flat season he will be the horse that is the next big thing after Frankel.
His temperament was the reason I did not have him as my selection today because like his sire New Approach the horse is always on his toes and the slightest spook causes him to lose his head but he held it together today to take the money and like I said I am very pleased that he did because he is a serious horse.
3 races gone and two dangers and a selection have come in.
12/1 8/1 5/4

My danger selection War Command romps home to win the 4.25 at a huge 20/1
Not one single reply today so I doubt anybody is on any of these selections I have given you.

Ok moving on to day four I am looking forward to seeing Frankel's sister Joyeuse in the first, she is only two years old but is going to become a fantastic filly no matter what happens today.
I was at a wedding yesterday which is why I didn't put any tips up on here so we are still chasing the kind of day like I had on Monday when I had 5 winners out of 6, Tuesday saw the one winner but that was it.
ASCOT 2:30PM SELECTION - JOYEUSE 4/1 - DANGER - I REALLY CANNOT SEE A DANGER TO FRANKEL'S HALF SISTER!!
ASCOT 3:05PM SELECTION - BATTLE OF MARENGO 8/11 - DANGER - GREATWOOD 9/1
ASCOT 3:45PM SELECTION - SKY LANTERN 9/2 - DANGER - BIG BREAK 11/2
ASCOT 4:25PM SELECTION - SHEIKHZAYEDROAD 7-1 - DANGER - CHAPTER SEVEN 8/1
ASCOT 5:00PM SELECTION - ROYAL SKIES 11/1 - DANGER - NICHOLS CANYON 9/1
ASCOT 5:30PM SELECTION - CAMPANOLOGY 16/1 - DANGER - MEZZOTINT 16/1

Joyeuse is drifting in the market out to 5/1 now while Sandiva the favourite is being backed.
I won't change my mind though and I am sticking with her.

Third place in the opener but a gallant one at that. She fell out of the starting gates and had a wall of horses in front of her to pass but Queally got her going and she was passing horses for fun but weaving rather than through straight line speed. When she did get out though she flew and was just beaten by the favourite into 3rd but the winner had already gone. Definitely a bright future in front of her and a definite winner of races. Not taking anything away from the winner but a better start and Joyeuse would have gone very very close and she was 7/1 in the end too.

Only second in the 3;05pm, Hillstar beats my tip who set sail for home too early which is not how he runs. One punter had £100k on Battle of Marengo!!
Two races gone and it's a 2nd and a 3rd so far.

Ave'it!!!! Sky Lantern pisses the 3:45pm from a terrible draw at 5/1.
Our first winner of the day but we have not been out of the places in the first three.

SHEIKHZAYEDROAD comes second in the 4:25pm but nothing doing in the last two so it's one winner, two seconds and a third on the day.

Thomas Chippendale won for me in the second race but there is no celebration from me as the horse collapsed and died after the race.

Shropshire backed down from 20/1 to 12/1 before the race gives me my second runner up in succession. A tragic winner and two seconds so far on the day with two to go.

Nothing in the last two but feeling in a sombre mood and neither the racing or the results are are of any relevance at all to me today given the circumstances of the sad events that occurred earlier in the afternoon.

Blew out completely, overall made a modest £14 profit over the 5 days.
The worst year I've had at the Berkshire (missed a tip there) course.

I tipped Joyeuse Frankel's half sister for success this season once she matured and Frankel's half sister has obliged winning her last two races including today's success at Haydock 3/1.

Had a tenner on Gabrial for the Lincoln. One more winner like that and it's my ST paid for.
