Nope I didnt...but now thinking my tip off geezer isnt a full shilling. Multiple sources from different people with different sources all said the same, a takeover takes a lot of time considering the money involved and the rumour only started 2 weeks ago! Chill, sit back and just wait for it to happen, if it doesn't happen then we arent any worse off....

I have said from the outset forget the Swede and remember it's Turkey season!
Due Diligence will be taking place, the proof in the pudding will be the money we spend in January.

Discussions ongoing and remain positive I am lead to believe.
Transfer funds available in January regardless.

Interesting to know what the target is this year. I would have assumed that consolidation was the only serious aim at the beginning of the season. Has that now changed bearing in mind that we are on target for that now even with the injury list that we have had. If new players are coming in, is the target playoffs?

Thank you for confirming my post as far as transfer funds being available angeldust. Some good signings on the way, the potential at the club has been grasped by somebody who is prepared to back it with the cash to see it prosper. CAFC target for 2012-2013 is the play-offs.

Don't quote me on this, for the time being it's how I understand it rather than I know for sure.
Koc have the clout to spend the type of money in January that TJ can only dream about. If they did it would be with promotion in mind this season, not next or the season after that. The point is though if they do splash the cash they want something in return like a much bigger stake in the club than TJ wants to part with.
There is an outright deal on offer for him to mull over where the Turks will be buying a stake in a Championship club. This means that TJ will still have to come to work every day for the next couple of years in the hope that we can get to the promised land and he can make his money. On the other hand he may also have been offered a get rich quick deal where the Turks accelerate our Premiership ambitions and take us there sooner than expected. TJ would then get his millions of Premiership money but in return the Turks get a bigger share for their part in the success - possibly a majority shareholding.
The January sales will tell us a lot.

Reams. What do you expect to happen in January. Plugging holes or going for it ?

The word behind closed doors is that we want to make Frimpong a permanent signing.
I hope that answers your question puddlejumper. How do you see him, a gap filler or a signing to signal a serious intention?

Signing Frimpong would be a sign of intent no doubt about that. If it were to happen I doubt we could do so without giving him quite a few assurances over our ambition. It should if nothing else be a facinating January.

Having just read the above on CL and Airman Brown's confusion with what I said I just thought I would point out that I didn't mean it literally. What I meant was that one deal would mean he would have to work alongside the Turks for a season or two whilst the other may mean that he could take the money now and move on.
Hope that's cleared it up.

New money will be in the Charlton Athletic Football Club bank account before Father Christmas slides down his first chimney, that I can assure you. Still awaiting news of who's money it is and how much it will be although we may never now the answer to the second part of that.

So if we are never to find out whose money it is does that mean the Koc's are out ?

No the Turks are in the driving seat that much we know, what I said was we don't know how much money they will be parting with to acquire what it is that they want and I doubt TJ, who incidentely wants out, will want it announced publicly anyway.

Not doubting you at all Reams but why would any new owners not want it to be publicly known. If TJ was out why would he care or even have a say. ?

Because if the world of football knows how much a new owner is worth transfer fees for targeted players get inflated. Nobody needs to know how much a new owner is worth do they really, as long as they put their hand in their pocket for what is required on the pitch who cares?

TJ seems to be set on buying more and more shares, a statement of intent ? Come and get me if you think you can ? Or let's make lots of money and go ?

Not sure what shares he is buying to be honest but he is not in the same ball park as what the Turks are.
Koc Holdings are a diversified company across a manufacturing spectrum. They employ 90,000 people and they are one of the biggest companies in the world and the only Turkish one in the Fortune 500 list.
Ali Koc, one of the key family members has been a Vice President at Fenerbahce, who are strongly identified with it’s community and involved in multiple sports. They own their own arena’s and stadiums throughout Istanbul and he is interested in replicating that in London, Jiminez does not even come close to rubbing shoulders with these guys and all he is doing is holding out for what he can.
