If it's a done deal why are we still waiting for international clearance? Lot's of club's player signing announcements mention pending clearance at the end of the article. Our fans seem to concentrate on the details. I haven't seen many other fans mention this sort of thing tbh. |

Been with us a few weeks now.
He’ll know the game plan.
A bit of raw youthful, pocket rocket pace to run at the Bolton defenders for 15 or 20 mins!

Like others have said, really hope he settles into his new surroundings - I’m sure the fans will give him a warm welcome - and that he enjoys his time in SE7.
Just hope the expectation isn’t being exaggerated, I’m sure he’s talented but without being boring, playing in Jamaica and England is totally different, (yes, I know stating the bleedin’ obvious), so one step at a time - but he could come out of the traps like the proverbial and be a sensation.

For those with too high expectations, Dixon not involved in the match day squad tomorrow.
It's been announced on the CAFC website, that you can sit with Kaheim in the 16-20 stand tomorrow.
So unless a coach runs up the stairs to get him, I don't think he'll be kitted up tomorrow.

International clearance and work permits are two entirely different processes. The club cannot employ an overseas resident without a specific work permit. I am not sure of the rules governing Jamaican citizens Work Visa Under Government and FA rules. They will be defined by a range of criteria and or exceptions. Dixon would be unable to play professionally without the permit.
Once the permit is secured the transfer of registration documentation has to be cleared by and newly registered by the respective Governing FA Authorities. FIFA, UEFA, and in this case the UK and Jamaica FAs.
The latter is a standard process for international transfers.
