We’ve known that for the last 2 seasons, what did you expect.

So Aneke is f**ked then. Great stuff. Where does it say that , he in the plane today. All it says his they have to work on his fitness and ease him back into pre season .. he looks the fittest he been for a while made sense not to risk him in a wet surface yesterday ..

What was clear yesterday is that we are nearly there with two good options in every position. At RWB you could argue three. Probably need another attacking midfielder and gk. Coventry so much better on the ball than Dobson and that is what we will need if we are looking to dominate teams.
Over the last few years we've never been able to look at the team and say everyone has competition for places
Surprised Kedwell and Gough werent given a run out but maybe we can now look to blood these players properly rather than rushing them into first team through necessity. TC a prime example although now he looks good good and could make a decent impact from the bench

I feel because of his age Zach Mitchell would still benefit from a decent loan out. But I wonder if any part of a loan agreement can guarantee he plays. He didn’t play the last half of the season at Colchester, but I don’t think it was in any way because he was rubbish. If he could play the bulk of a season on loan at somewhere like Wimbledon or Gillingham I think he would be even better, but not quite ready for us at the moment.

Jones yesterday saying there will be more coming in through the door, I think after yesterday he would have seen what Fraser, Bishop and Taylor have to offer and it will be interesting to see what happens with the three of them……..I personally think Jones will want better quality to compliment his midfield three of Coventry, Docherty and Berry I have always been an advocate of Fraser but apart from one through ball he did look slow and ponderous with a lack of awareness of opposition players around him, I am really not sure that he fits intoJones category of athletic midfielders. You do wonder if Jones has a marquee number 10 lined up but is just waiting on the moving parts to finish….. With Aneke still having to be nursed constantly with his fitness issues up I can see another forward coming in as I can’t see us going into the Wigan game potentially with just Kanu on the bench so I would love us to try and get Joe Taylor in on loan as he would provide us with different options……Jones loves Hylton though so maybe he will bring him on a short term contract with a view of him maybe joining his coaching team. Think Jones is just waiting on decisions about Walton and Bradley before he makes alternative plans in these areas, Jones, Mitchell and one other look fine, I am not so sure on Gillesphey, REG looked the better option yesterday but I think our captain for next season is yet to join us and will be the missing piece of the back three puzzle

I know speed isn't his game but he didn't even seem to have good technique for the half he played - a few good balls through but caught in possession far too often - Dobson would absolutely mob him in the Wrexham fixtures.

Interesting comments about Fraser from Jones below…..”If anyone wants to play in my midfield they have to be aggressive and at it”…..it is hardly glowing is it and I can see Fraser back in Scotland as soon as his agent can find him a club londonnewsonline.co.uk/sport/nathan-jones-on-scott-frasers-future-with-the-midfielder-back-at-charlton-athletic-following-loan-move-to-hearts/

Yeah I suppose, but it doesn’t shout raring to go, does it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of Aneke and like most I’m desperate for him to get to the route of his issues. Hopefully the new medical lot are brilliant and get him in good nick. But yeah, unduly negative from me, good luck to Mr Aneke 👍🏻
