Of course they do that's why they have just spent hundreds of thousands on the training ground and the new pitch. Textbook liquidation tactics, spending millions before selling It is of course common to invest in a business to make it more attractive before selling. Thinking about it, making Methven CEO of non football operations would make sense in that regard. At SAFC they sold to a rich, well meaning owner and if it happens to CAFC at some point I do trust they would do the same Methven and others are smart and have focussed on what many potential owners are interested in, that is the academy, our DEI work, community trust, potential fanbase, womens team etc. Thats fine because we are well positioned there. I've never really bought into the US owners have a long term, emotional relationship with the club. If they did I'd expect them to be much more visible. Just a personal opinion. Either way the club is being well run and if there was a sale I couldnt see it happening before we were well on way to championship. There is of course the issue with the assets but Methven again is canny and pointed out West Ham and Man City do not own grounds but have long term leases which the securing of would seem to be current focus

Ooop here comes Wiseman the dinosaur. I'm out. Why don’t you like him? His question was pointless anyway, about Solar panels! This is Charlton Athletic Football Club not Charlton Athletic Energy Club!

An interesting session very well moderated. More evidence that we have a highly capable ownership group with a long term vision and that management of the club is being professionalised.
There are obviously no guarantees of success on the pitch so we now need that X factor if we’re going to win promotion and, as noted elsewhere, a change in the financial landscape in the Championship so that promotion becomes an opportunity not a financial liability.

Good solid event . Really can’t fault anything said by any of the participants. Just need to get this squad sorted now

Everitt has his own reasons for wishing to rail against the club’s ownership and its management. Fair enough. I’ve no idea what those reasons are, but I do know that there are more holes in the logic behind those two tweets than you’ll find in a Rab C Nesbitt string vest.

Everitt will be against any owner that doesn't want to give him his job back

A certain someone, who is banned from this forum, has posted your comments in reply to Everitt I see.

Everitt's politics will always see him rail against wealthy American owners. He would prefer we were part of a workers co-operative subsidised by the tax payer.
