I'd agree with that,LuaLua and Wickham have bags of experience and will have to make real impressions to earn an extended stay. If they want to stay with us next season or impress others they will give their all. Can't see where we can lose and they could be a real bonus for next season.

Personally I’d give Tyreece another two year deal, there may be a player in there yet but the fact is we don’t currently you know . We / Steve Avory will have invested a lot in the boy, but IMO he needs a regular starting berth at a lower level to gain experience. As for “blaming the SMT” …FML 🤦♂️ the old Scott brown nosers are still out there. Kanu was messed about with his loan ,ditto Elewere who came and went, and you’ve only got to look at the stalled form of Assiimwe and Ness this season to witness the perils of throwing kids in too soon because you have failed to build a squad. If only there was an Xg for brown nosing the SMT. Campbell might be renewed and then loaned out. Currently we're playing 3-5-2 with wing backs so no slot for him. Time will tell. Asiimwe is on the bench behind Tennai Watson. A player you love to slate week in week out but most can see a significant improvement in form. Kanu is a fixture in the matchday 18 starting much of the time. Whilst at centre back we've recruited some serious talent so Ness not getting a look in. As for Elerewe one might show some respect and spell his name correctly! Ultimately all fans are entitled to their views on players but we're fortunate enough to have professional management at our club. Six games unbeaten plus a very successful January window suggests that they're getting more right than wrong. Anybody still attacking those who run the club has their perspective, but the majority simply want us to continue this great run, then step up again over the summer. Fact is that we can't keep everybody AND have a slimmer squad. We've all seen the first steps in terms of how the team is evolving. There are eight games to come, followed by the SMT and football management agreeing and announcing the retained and released lists soon enough. We can take it from there and see who makes up the eight Academy players in next season's squad. Knowing how passionate you are about superfluous matters, I think you are going to be sorely disappointed at what the SMT looks like come the end of the Summer. Nathan Jones will have his way, and rightly so, and the ridiculous situation whereby a mid table L1 team has EIGHT highly remunerated Execs will come to an end. It’s only the Poobahs who revel in this structure. I wonder how Paul Elliott’s outreach into the local community is going 🤔, and Steve Suthers doesn’t seem to have attracted many big sponsorship deals as yet 😌 what is Ed Warrick achieving, exactly 🥹 The owners money should be invested where it really matters this Summer - on Nathan Jones & a promotion capable squad. That means drastically streamlining the hangers on and “execs”. I’m happy to be corrected if anyone can point out an individual SMT achievement.

That means drastically streamlining the hangers on and “execs”. I’m happy to be corrected if anyone can point out an individual SMT achievement. The owners money is clearly being invested in the squad and management as we see new players being signed, even after we have gone six games undefeated. You may choose to ignore the fact that it was SE7 Partners made up of Methven, Scott, Rodwell and Warwick who put the bid in AND secured the financial backing. We don't get to choose the owners but over the last 15 years which do we prefer? - Richard Murray after the rest of the board walked away - Jiminez and Cash whose investment dried up after the first 18 months - a Belgian billionaire making decisions from afar and ignoring the fanbase - ESI with no funds and zero football experience - Sandgaard with cash but a reluctance to employ experts - SE7 Partners with years of experience with a number of clubs albeit sound financials but not too many promotions Overall it's somewhat ironic that you call for overseas owners thousands of miles away to make the executive decisions, especially given that the three main investors have as much track record running an EFL club as Sandgaard and his entourage. No, SE7 Partners are building something and are recruiting experience into all areas of the club so as to rebuild the foundations that have been eroded over the last decade. The executives are obviously accountable to the investors and need to keep them onside for next season and beyond. By the end of this season the January window will almost certainly look like smart business. And that there's no reason to doubt that Scott, scouts and Jones can repeat over the summer. It's a shame that some such as yourself and Everitt choose to lean into every trope and error, always stating that management isn't good enough. But after every win the rhetorical narrative unravels... and will look decidedly frayed once we rejoin the top six next season.

Indeed seriouslyred Everitt, Occam’s Razor and others have been spectacularly wrong about GFP so far and it will be interesting to see how history judges this latest speculation. It does seem perverse to criticise the owners for being professional.

An element of over staffing exec wise, but put in place NJ,a serious manager/coach capable of the rebuild. Time will tell if NJ is given the required amount of resources, but IMHO the picture is beginning to form.

1st time in recent years we have had a 'name' as a manager and look what happens, even with below par performances the team has more or less secured L1 football next season, which , 6 weeks ago seemed very unlikely !
