Scott should be out on the touch line trying to deal with his shit that’s out there. Nathan Jones might as well go out scouting for next season in LEAGUE 2. |

I've just left the game 10 minutes early. Camara was our best player by a mile ands that's based just on his five minute cameo.
Never known such a spinelees, clueless Charlton side as this....ever.
I see players in other sides do things that our's are just not capable of.
Reading are a club in a mess but they have a side full of good footballers who are still playing for the badge.
They ripped us to shreads today and scored two goals of real quality. We just aren't capable of scoring them like that.

Players and the club should refund all of the fans that have no doubt spent a small fortune today to witness yet another passionless defeat. If nearly 3,000 vocal supporting fans can’t give our pathetic players a bit of a lift, an extra spring in the step, nothing will. Every week I don’t feel I can be more ashamed of the club as I am right now yet they find new ways to heap shame and misery upon us as fans. Scott refused to sack Appleton at the start of January to protect his own ego, look at the damage this has done. Look at the damage Scott has done overall to our once great club.

Appleton should have gone at Christmas and Scott with him, another window wasted. It's been so obvious all season we would end up in a relegation battle, if Jones can't find a spark in this lot, we're down.

Reams, I came out of the ground saying it took 65 minutes until we saw a footballer in a charlton shirt. Ladapo needs to be shipped back to Peterborough ASAP. It’s been abundantly clear since this latest ownership come in that they’re cutting the budget and want to work on a smaller budget, so we’ve seen a number of youngsters given game time, players departing and some pretty average signings. That’s where the club is. There was a £10.1m operating loss in the 2022 accounts, for example and this ownership doesn’t have the finances to throw money at it. They’re doing it on the cheap because that’s the financial muscle they’re willing to stick into it.
It’s a snowball effect of 15 years of dodgy ownership and the club is paying the price for it now.

It's the owners fault that they have allowed the SMT to do such a terrible job. The fact Andy Scott still has a job just shows you how naive the two Americans are. The buck stops with the owners and they employed Scott. I have no sympathy for any of the investors who are all going to lose money. They deserve it for there incompetence. Signing Jones is too little to late. Damage was done when they didn't sack Appleton by Jan to give new Manager more say in window. Jones must be a fool to take this on and he will be off if we go down no doubt about it. His long term project will go right out of the window the min we get relegated. 4 & half year contract doesn't mean shit.

Just take a look at the complete and utter waste of space that brought this shit show together and there is your answer. We have had half a million carried over for two windows without it being spent so they ain't going to spend £50m. So we are more likely to vacate and ground share. |

Not being funny after the event but our midfield was so, so different to what we've seen for the last couple of years. Plus Istead doing well and Jones gets to use all four strikers throughout the game. Is the squad really that bad, or did we just hit the perfect storm of injuries, brand new players and an inept manager who has fortunately been replaced? Or perhaps this is simply a new manager bounce? Impossible to call either way and plenty will share opinions. Only the manager's actions and decisions count. We'll know far, far more in a few weeks. |
