Been some really positive performances tonight and overall, regardless of the result, we’ve given a good account of ourselves. That said, I’m starting to wonder if Isted is the GK I’d hoped he would be. What’s the general consensus on his pre season? I think we need another senior GK to compete for the shirt.

Excellent performance, shame we couldn't hold on for the win, but with the youngsters we had out, I thought for 60 minutes we were far superior to Millwall. We tired and got caught out with two break aways, shame.
I can see Assimwe starting in front of Egbo if we don't bring in another RWB.

Great game that!
Considering we had two of our starting CBs not Involved against that calibre of opposition, it’s a great result.
Thomas played like a right footed CB playing at LCB and LB… bless him he was tripe. Hopefully we won’t have to rely on him too much next season.
Anderson and Asiimwe the new cash cows from the academy it looks like!

Very good from the boys tonight some excellent movement and football lots of positives .. but the change to 433 really gave the chance for Millwall to counter attack which they could not do with 352 .. but that was Millwall first team we played and looked by far the better side .. till the changes.
we need to be sharper when playing out from the back lot of sloppy passing , and just cross the bloody ball what was Campbell doing for their first goal It was poor .. Anderson was very good again , Elewere not so assured tonight, we had a very young back line .
Lot of good signs for the season with players to come in and one or two more arrivals before Orient .. DH got some thinking to do

Lots of positives to be taken tonight against a very strong Millwall side ,Asiimwe is a starter at RWB for me , Anderson pushing as well , minus points , Ness looked uncomfortable all evening although was up against championship strikers , not to sure about the keeper either but on the whole get a few more in and top 6 is definitely on .

I thought ness played well tonight, agree we don’t need a RWB Was pleasantly surprised by the team selection in the end, again we were three games ahead in terms of match fitness but positive first half - bring on the season |

Wasn't able to watch the match last night so really appreciated the updates, unfortunately the same applies to Saturday. Sounds like it was a cracking match and we are getting better and stronger. With a couple of additions perhaps three we will have a stronger team than we've had for years and with Holden in charge I really believe we are in with a shout. Up the Addicks!

We played really well both individually and as a team unit.
Obviously it wouldn't be right to beat Millwall even in a friendly.

The lads down the right hand side were quality bar a few mis hit passes. We can now play out of a press which I don't remember us being able to do for many seasons.

Mitchell got beaten for pace by a very quick winger from the division above on a breakaway by a long diagonal (offside?) for which 3-5-2 is particularly susceptible. Doubt he has played that formation much as academy tends to mirror 1st XI. Don't write him off yet. He's 18 FFS. I've seen enough to think he can learn at this level. |

Hmmm Anderson or Camara ? Who is Holden going to choose? If we are going to play a midfielder out of position up front (Kirk) until we sign a proper striker, I'd rather try Anderson who has physicality, two decent feet, touch, and will put tackles in. Won't hinder his development because we know he is going to be special in midfield. |

If it's now time to start talking about the football and not the ownership, then it's clear that one of our main problems last season was we regularly gave away 2 goals in games and last night we did the same.
Winning teams don't do that - they keep lots of clean sheets and even win games 1-0 when they haven't played that well. This is something we must address if we're going to be a winning team.
