The bottom line is we are just about the only club in the football league going into transfer deadline day without a manager. Whichever way you look at it , that is a massive own goal by SE7 Partners. Players coming in will always want to know who they are playing for, and if they will be in the manager’s plans. Once again, the (useless) SMT has moved too slowly. We have seven highly paid executives /hangers on at the club, but no manager or recognisable full backs. We can speculate on new loans all we like , but I don’t see how anyone can defend this shambles. Why do we need Diversity Director Paul Elliott when we can’t fill key playing positions, at key times. The priorities are all wrong. I noticed Paul Elliott was at Forest 2 days ago for a conference. I don't see any female Asians dwarfs in attendance! Where's the Equality? Shocking!! And I don't want no comments about my taste in porn preferences thanks. Give it a try you'll soon change your stance. |

As always with these windows we’re told everybody’s working flat out to bring players in hundreds of thousands being quoted but nothing ever happens other than a couple of poxy loans that get sent back six weeks later.got this horrible feeling we’re going to have to try and survive in this league with what we got. mind you when the injured players come back that’s the same as a new signings yes, that old chestnut . Let’s hope chucks can get talked in to playing a couple of games before he needs a rest .

Also, any player that is released from his contract before the deadline can still be signed as a free agent after the window closes.
I only know this because that is where Sandgaard did some of his shopping once he realised that his mere presence wasn't going to fill The Valley.

When you're winless in coming up to three months, without a manager and no signs of sure footing I would imagine attracting the right talent in January is a monumental task. All the more reason it's disgusting we're on deadline day without a manager confirmed. Schedule interviews for anybody interested in 2-3 days and make a decision based on your feedback. Any areas of concern you can easily schedule a second stage - these people are out of work and we're offering steady income, I'm sure they'd make the effort to come in for their interview.

Think he's stating the obvious there, I do get the impression that Cawley likes to underpin his tweets with jabs at Charlton fans "Many fans might not have liked him". Going to Conor Coventry's house may well have helped make the decision, but that doesn't take away from the fact we haven't had a league win since NOVEMBER 2023. The man deserved to be sacked earlier, and I imagine we'd be better off for it, even if that meant we didn't land Conor Coventry. |

So some think we have got enough to stay up, Really!? There is very little of value added, from GK, defenders ,to the wingers or wing backs. that we desperately need to replace C B T. Which to my mind. was a wreckless move selling him. And he was the replacement for rak Saki .Both key playmakers, by all accounts Who is going to be the playmaker now and supply the like of May ? I was feeling confident after our point at Blackpool. I am not so sure now. We have a good caretaker crew. What is this obsession with managers that have a pedigree and a big name Give em a go, i say,
As a replacement for C B T we could have had a loan of Marko Tillio, who is back at Melbourme City On loan fron Celtic Or Aziz Behich wing back of M C is being loaned out to El Ain, as Tillio takes his place. Other clubs do it. Why are we such a bunch of losers?

Scanning through Twitter , it looks like the best we can hope for are a couple of last min loans.
While I was happy to give the club credit for Coventry & Gillesphey, a couple of last gasp kids in on loan is desperation stuff, and another sign of lessons not being learned.
It can’t be a question of money , especially with Fraser & CBT gone, so the lack of a manager must be the main sticking point ?
