Can't see us signing anyone of any significance tomorrow without a manager. Might get a loan or 2 of players who need game time having come back from injury so they will no doubt get injured with us too.
Manager is important.

Yeah probably.....someone who hasn't played for months and their parent club wants them up to speed. In all seriousness this looks like JCH all over again, wanting to be seen to be after quality, but in reality getting nowhere near it.

The bottom line is we are just about the only club in the football league going into transfer deadline day without a manager.
Whichever way you look at it , that is a massive own goal by SE7 Partners.
Players coming in will always want to know who they are playing for, and if they will be in the manager’s plans.
Once again, the (useless) SMT has moved too slowly.
We have seven highly paid executives /hangers on at the club, but no manager or recognisable full backs.
We can speculate on new loans all we like , but I don’t see how anyone can defend this shambles.
Why do we need Diversity Director Paul Elliott when we can’t fill key playing positions, at key times. The priorities are all wrong.

If Andy Scott or anyone else at the club involved in player recruitment, had anything about them, they would be signing Jake Young and Dan Kemp in the next 48 hours. They couldn't play for us this season so we allow them to stay where they are until the summer. 30 goals between them at Swindon in half a season while on loan. We never sign young talent, already in the first team and scoring for fun. I have banged the drum re Kemp on here a lot and agree that Young would also be a great addition. As you say we'd have to loan them back to their parent clubs for the rest of this season, but great to lock in people like that for next season now if possible. I suspect Kemp would mean no Aaron Collins as they play pretty similar roles. Could we get by until the summer without a number 10 (Fraser likely being gone) if going the Kemp route is the biggest issue imho.

They’ve had 4-5 weeks to get someone lined up. Jones & Rowett are both free agents.

Marc Isles the local Bolton sports reporter has just tweeted the deal is going along nicely, so it would appear it’s happening tomorrow.

I'm not saying I'm demanding (and I seem to be the only person who understands Fraser and Dobson are both long gone realistically) but if we don't get the following tomorrow...
Nathan Jones, Michael Duff or Mike Williamson (manager) Caleb Taylor or similar (defensive loan) Luke Bolton or similar (RWB permanent) Aaron Collins or Joe Powell (#10 permanent) Sam Smith, Harvey Knibbs or Kaylon Vickers (striker permanent from the Reading fire sale)
...I'm literally GOING TO RIOT.
Only in my own bedroom tbh, but riot I shall. I'll shit on all my Steve Brown replica shirts if need be.
It's all on you now CAFC x

Instead what’s going to happen tomorrow, nothing I bet. We have some good players but they either all play in the same position or they are injured . We need some creativity desperately and if anything else something positive heading into a tricky game at the weekend. We shouldn’t be going into games especially at home with the hope not to lose. Is there any glimmer of a different type of player that we already have coming in - Fraser going is that the trigger for a deadline day incoming ?

We might not have a manager or enough quality players, the cops might not turn up when you’ve been burgled and we can’t crew our warships but there’ll always be money in the kitty for diversity bollox. The pinko chattering classes would hyperventilate on their yoga mats were that not so. I don’t think we can blame wokery for our current pickle though. Choosing Apples and then keeping him on way after it was clear he was pants is the problem. Loans are the best we can expect now and, as others have said already, Scott ain’t too good at those.
