Can someone clarify, apologies if the matter has already been mentioned!
Birmingham City are in trouble with the EFL as a result of allowing non qualified people to run the club.
TS has allegedly complained that the appointed CAFC CFO was in control of the clubs finances rather than TS. The CFO deciding if the club had adequate funds for february costs.
Did TS surrender control of the club during the exclusivity period?
Was the SMT at that time authorised by the EFL to take control? (if you've been authorised at another club does that approval remain or do you need to re-apply?).
Just askng!
PS. if TS is watching, can i ask that you start acting more as a custodian of the club. You assumed that responsibility when you took over the club. CAFC should be treated more seriously, this is not a hobby. Please consider the best long term.interests of Charlton and act accordingly and pass it on to a worthy new owner, if you havent the expertise or money to run the club. Pleas don't do a RD and flog the club to any chancer!
PPS. If I win euromillions on Friday I'll be in touch to take temporary ownership - until I find a good egg to run the show.

My opinion of you is that you have been deliberately provoking a reaction on here by acting stupid when your not. Even now, this late in the day you still call it CM’s consortium. Sorry, you’ve lost me again. When have I acted stupid ? That’s certainly not something I’d wish to do, and can’t see where I have. Can you explain where you think I have because wherever it is I can assure you there’s been a misunderstanding. As for referring to the proposed takeover group as Methvens consortium, I think I’ve done that all the way through haven’t I ? There’s no hidden meaning to it. It just seems like the simplest and best thing to do. It’s a consortium and it’s fronted by Methven - and that just means he’s the frontman not that he’s the biggest player or anything like that. I know we've often disagreed throughout this saga, but I really don’t understand this latest criticism at all. 100 posts in less than 20 days, so five or six a day. Many of them adversarial or seeking to justify your stance. So why not take time to reflect rather than playing the victim. Go read up about duality, Schrodinger's cat and perhaps even absurdism. Far simpler to wait and see how this takeover / investment saga pans out rather than winding people up with endless questions. I enjoyed the game tonight even though we had very few chances again. This because I know that with the right owner, budgets and SMT we could be back in the top six by September. So maybe the glass is half full for now. However the decision about who owns our club is outside of our hands so best remain stoical as Sandgaard continues to spaff £500K per month. Like others, I find the criticism of Methven on here and the other site laughable. Well it would be if it wasn't so painfully obvious that the US consortium was the best chance of a soft landing and a trip to Wembley 😀 Who knows what 2023 looks like but it won't be much different to 2022 unless budgets and the SMT changes. |

Fleetwood are on a good run, beat us and are above us in the table. Maybe Stockley wasn't so bad?

I've been off this thread with very little to add since the Methven brokered group were turned down by Sandgaard. I think at this point there's very little point rehashing what should have been. Might be an idea to have a separate thread for the Methven group and keep a takeover thread free for any developments that may or may not happen going forward. As we all now understand, that would likely be a portion of investment rather than a takeover.

To point I agree with what you’ve said….from what I saw of last nights game, I was surprised at how many flick ones Bonne won… his touch etc was poor as was Penney’s… I’m not expecting world beaters but surely at league 1 level you should be able to control and pass a ball…. As for Stockley, for me it’s the lack of mobility in his game that I see as a detriment to what he offers, and it’s sad to say he’s a bit one dimensional….. it’s a shame as I wanted him to succeed this year |

People will be able to back me up on here through conversations I have had with them back stage that Freidman was the man who was going head on this week with TS to offer him a take it or leave it deal. The stubborn egotistical prick ignored him. We are ending up with Sandgaard, Spiegel, Storrie and that football agent. Said all those two weeks ago what the fall back plan would look like. This is desperate news for all Charlton fans and will end in trouble. Nice of that CL poster to find out out I haven't been making it up as I go along after all. Innocent until proven guilty. For those that are against Methven (and co.), are you happy with the current situation with this Spiegel etc? From my perspective, this new(er) group with Spiegel seems to be swimming in a far different pond. One more associated to the likes of Mouthall. Hopefully I’m wrong on that, but if Methven and co gave you ‘red flags’, then this new lot must be like Chinese supporters at the olympics with a sea of red flags. One of them being, where is the money?! If they takeover, then I feel like we’ll have this Takeover thread open again in 12-18months time. Let’s not chase our tails with the “for those against “ narrative. “ For those against ESI, for those against TS” etc. we’ve had it all before. It’s quite remarkable that we’re all squabbling over billionaires and the not so wealthy as if we’ve got special entitlements. We don’t of course. The real squabble is about the veracity of the original takeover news (for some) , the merits of the bid (looks dead) and the reluctance to accept rumours as facts until officially confirmed. Rodwell being there last night raises hope of a revival I suppose but I prefer they walk away, sue Sandgaard for everything he's got and we all sit back and watch the biggest circus that's ever rolled into SE7 make a pigs ear of it.
Charlton fans have had their opportunity to force Sandgaard out just like they did Duchatelet but declined and decided to abuse CM instead. I have a feeling that's going to come back and haunt them some day soon.

Stockley like Bonne not the problem it’s the lack of service to them and the quality in wide areas that lacking .. Not entirely true Bexley. Yes they could do with a bit better service but thier overall play stinks the valley out. The middle forward of the 3 needs to be able to hold the ball up like Taylor or Kermy so without that attribute we are always going to struggle going forward. Anyways carry on with the thread without the going around in cycles debate. |

It looks like you wish ill on the club simply because your claims weren’t taken as gospel. That reflects badly. Who cares that CM motives were questioned . I mean who really cares? Nobody l would imagine except those who hang on your word and who now you wish bad on them. The club really means a lot to those still emotionally attached to it. They wouldn’t deserve that. We were given 48 hours to shift TS. Come on Reams. It was completely impossible. |

Just more mud flinging by the same old protagonists who cannot get over Methven's Sunderland days. I was going to answer your above questions but then saw you post this link and realised I don't have to because this idiot has shown exactly why I think some Charlton fans are just so weak compared to their bullying and hounding of Roland Duchatelet. They just cannot get over Merthven's performance at Sunderland. It's fairly obvious who my comments are aimed at, those with a Methven agenda based on what happened in the North East. Where are Sunderland now? Hardly impacted on them did it? Look I'm just saying that given the grief he has been given I hope the abusers end up with the likes of Spiegel and Sandgaard, Britain's newest comedy act where football club ownership is concerned! One is skint losing money hand over fist while the other has even less! Once they roll out the carpet for that pair of no hopers backed up by 'I can kick a ball hard' Martin, my work here and anything Charlton will be done. Craving for that detachment is why I want CM and the Americans to walk away. Perhaps I would have hung around for them despite my disillusionment but NEVER under Sandgaard. Absolute disgrace that the EFL have not pulled him in given how much debt he has got us in. Losing money is one thing, it happens at all clubs but not paying your debts is another. He is not a fit & proper person to run a football club. Hope he gets called in like the Birmingham owners. Perhaps the rules should change and FPP tests should be carried out on owners every 12 months even while they are still in office. That is one way to stop them taking clubs downwards and potentially out of business altogether. |

whys this thread getting so personal , "what you done", "where's your proof" etc, if some of the things typed on here were said face to face in a pub you'd end up on your arse
