What point was there in having a meeting with the Fans Forum. He really doesn’t care anymore. He will lie through his teeth. At least he said the reason for sacking Garner was because he had the gall to criticise him in public. The more I find out about him the more I can’t stand him.

What do the last two posts have to do with Mouthall? Am I missing something? He said following the recent social media coverage Matt Southall had contacted him asking about buying the club. TS said he had ignored the message as he isn’t interested in talking to him. HA acknowledged that TS was not talking to Matt Southall, which she said was good news. She asked if TS is intending to sell the club. TS said no. He said if someone shows up with an offer he can’t refuse, he will obviously look at it. He said it would be irresponsible not to. He said he always gets emails and other forms of communication about it. |

It would be good if the EFL also got their house in order and stopped this happening in the first place. Let's hope, what is now going on at Birmingham is the start of a new leaf. The EFL letting these morons have control in the first place was their error and should be brought to book over it, at the end of the day it's always the fans that suffer. |

EFL's statement, though it doesn't actually mention individuals by name, it's not hard to guess. www.efl.com/news/2023/february/efl-statement-birmingham-city/Following the conclusion of an investigation into the proposed acquisition of Control at Birmingham City, the EFL has today charged the Club and a number of other individuals with alleged breaches of EFL Regulations. The EFL has been considering whether the Club, any Official(s), and/or any Persons involved with the proposed acquisition of Control complied with the requirements of the Regulations in relation to the Owners’ and Directors’ Test (OADT). Having comprehensively reviewed all relevant issues, the EFL has now determined there is sufficient evidence to justify issuing various charges of Misconduct. The charges allege that a number of people were allowed to and did act as Relevant Persons and/or acquired Control of the Club without the prior approval of the EFL, and associated breaches. The multiple matters will now be referred to an independent Disciplinary Commission and due to them being subject to ongoing proceedings, the EFL will not be making any further comment. |

Today's Telegraph. Birmingham City are facing a charge by the EFL after a lengthy investigation into the clubs ownership structure. The club are under threat of sanctions, they were charged on Monday with allegedly breaking owners and directors test rules, while a number of individuals are facing a potential punishment over a collapsed takeover bid last year ( sound familiar?). Paul Richardson,Maxi Lopez and former Charlton chairman Matt Southall, have all been charged.

They don't seem to grasp how passionate fans are about their clubs and end up penalising them instead of the guilty. |

Southall gets a six month ban, half of which is suspended. www.efl.com/news/2023/april/efl-statement-birmingham-city/Matthew Southall, Paul Richardson, and Maxi Lopez have all admitted to breaching EFL Regulations in respect of the Owners and Directors’ Test (OADT) following their unapproved involvement with Birmingham City Football Club in 2022. Following a thorough investigation, the three individuals have accepted that they had acquired control of the Club without going through the appropriate sign-off procedure with the EFL. In addition, Mr Southall also accepted a charge of Misconduct after admitting to signing a false declaration regarding his role as a Relevant Person under EFL Regulations. As a result of admitting the charges, Mr Southall is now prohibited from being a Relevant Person for a period of six months, three months of which are to be suspended until the end of the 2023/24 season. Mr Richardson and Mr Lopez are also banned from being a Relevant Person for a period of two months and one month respectively, which are to be suspended until the end of the 2023/24 season. All three individuals, who are liable for £45,000 of the associated costs with the investigation, have entered into an Agreed Decision with the League as provided for in the Regulations. |
