He will get closer to 15 than Zero. See that Welling goal? No swinger, pure tekkers. He has an absolute pinger of a left foot shot. Ive backed him from his first game DJ hustles and bustles all game. His touch and decision making is only going to improve with coaching and experience. He's already on zero? Hope the lad does well but very rare a winger chips in with 15 goals over a season. I fear that fans are going a little bit over board with some of our players to be honest. Not sure how Joe average from last season suddenly becomes a bit of a world beater and it's not only DJ . Because he more settled at the club and the area .. lot of players who move in Jan struggle to hit the ground running |

Some players just take a while to settle at a new club, DJ was one of those but you could see the ability there in games at the back end of the season….I just remember him causing us a bundle of problems in a very poor Swindon side at the County Ground and thinking he would be useful for us……. |

Average joe is there not a thing called progression? He started to show what he was about under Adkins and was playing really well before the injury. He has the ability now hopefully he can shows us even more of that this season. |

He started to show what he was about under Adkins and end the season really well before the injury. He has the ability now hopefully he can shows us even more of that this season. A bit like Gilby as well……couldn’t get a game until NA rocked up……showed nothing of the form under Bowyer that made him MK Dons player of the season for the majority of the season but NA could see a player in there and put him back in the side where he scored a few and made an impact in the last 10 games…..hopefully he will continue and kick on from where he left off from last season…. I don’t consider either DJ or Gilby to be world beaters but I don think they are pretty decent league one ability players……let’s not forget we very nearly made it to the playoffs last season with a seriously injury plagued dodgy back four and distinctly average non mobile ageing midfield…….I have confidence that NA knows a player when he sees one..…..I really didn’t have that same confidence with Bowyer including his Pratley and Watson appreciation club… |

He's scored 11 goals in 62 games during his career and all of a sudden fans are saying he'll get 15 next season. I'm all for supporting the lad but I think that is being a tad optimistic. I'm not overly fussed on him to be honest. Reminds me of Mark Marshall but going to get behind DJ next season and hopefully he'll kick on in a Charlton shirt.

That's all we can do really, together with supporting the rest of the lads who wear our shirt. Whatever the squad looks like in six weeks time, that's it until 01.01.22. So we can back the lads AND discuss how much coaching plus how many January signings might take us to Wembley?! Until we see a real uptick in performances, I wouldn't bother beating ourselves up about 90 points and automatic promotion. Just enjoy the football and the banter and simply hope CAFC can go up through the gears. |

Same mark who came to us aged 32 ish after rocking it in a division below? We paid decent wack for DJ. Half a million probs or thereabouts. He would have been offered other deals at other clubs. Why did we go for him? Because he is a safe bet. Even on day every touch goes wrong he will be a 5 or 6 out of 10. Why? The man is a superb athlete who at 24 has already shown his mind is too good for league 1. Because the man has strength of character and physical fortitude that given the right platform will only getting better. He has a slight muscle strain last season and was back in 11 days. Some of his poorer performances came during Ramadan but he still played. Respect to any Muslim athlete doing this, because you need regular fuelling as an athlete. I saw enough at Welling. Him and Famewo were on a different planet. Ive got to big him up compared to Mark I'd like to add D to your options from the other day please  Option D - excited because cheering for young talented players on their way up, whose game may be directly affected by the cheers or the boos, is so much more enticing than David Davis or Reza. How we support them at the Valley is going to directly affect their development. Adkins Addicks? Adkins Ajax?  |

It looks to me that Adkins is going to play with a fairly standard 4-3-3 with no ‘trequartista’, or number 10, just one main striker, and two wide players in the front three. Jaiyesimi will be a big player in that system, probably on the right (perhaps with Washington on the left) or even on the left if we sign another winger who prefers to play on the right. I’ve been impressed with him. He’s got bags of ability and I’m hopeful he’ll be a star this coming season. We will need him to score goals, but he’s never been a prolific scorer and if he gets into double figures for League One goals that would probably be a good outcome. |

Very impressed with him today vs Fulham. He turned his marker inside out. We've had turbulence and massive squad turnover since 2014 - tempting fate but perhaps we build on the team that finished 7th last season? |

Karl robinson said there aim was to man mark him out of the game. We was to slow as team when moving the ball out from the back. How many time did we work the ball dowm right hand side none we didn't that and that is why DJ struggled to get involved. Don't just write someone off because they had a bad game because there was another 9 players out there that was not good enough. |
