Bowyer gone out to 12/1 with Skybet for the Portsmouth job, not sure if the Birmingham vacancy has anything to do with it but could see him being interested in going there. I don’t see him wanting to go to Birmingham. They are struggling and have no money. They could be another ‘giant’ that spends half a decade in the third division. Well, that aged well didn't it? #awkward!

The good news about it happening this way is no need for us to pay him compensation / pay out his contract. Birmingham may have to pay us.

And Roland wanted Wilder. We don't know what would have happened had he joined us. I reckon he'd have got us out of League One quicker but would have got unstuck with Roland's "lowest budget in the championship" and not done any better than Bowyer did in that league. Well Wilder is available now and if TS could persuade him to come to Charlton he in my opinion would be an excellent manager for us, the man oozes passion and ambition. He did an amazing job at Sheffield United, unfortunately it went wrong for him this year, but in my opinion he would be an ideal choice!

Bowyer is an absolutely clueless man manager, frighteningly bad in fact. He’s at it again today with Cawley. Asked a question about why Albie Morgan has been dropped not just from the team but the squad, once again he spitefully can’t resist having a little dig in public. I’m growing tired of this - it’s like having the Harry Enfield character “Kevin the teenager” in charge of your team. It’s particularly galling as the vast majority of Steve Avery’s gems in recent years have been flogged off. Albie is one of a handful left, and realistically the only first teamer in this piss poor squad. Despite that he’s lost his place to the Ginger Geriatric and the kid from Arsenal, who is no way an upgrade. If and when LB does get the sack this season, he’s making it very hard for people to feel any sympathy for him. Bowyer is a bullyboy, a grade one prick. Hearing some damning stuff tonight so I have quoted myself from back on March 1st. The new HR manager for non playing reasons happened for a reason. Take it from me Bowyer's departure was not unplanned. There has been a long ongoing process with regards to a serious lack of discipline which includes bullying which has led to a complaint from a players agent being sent to the PFA, FA and EFL. None of it makes good reading and it will come out soon enough. TS and his team are dealing with it. Told you all along the rat faced prick was a bullying bastard. A shit house club like Birmingham is the best place for him. I have pointed out on several occasions that Albie Morgan was a victim of Bowyer's bullying antics and I stand by it. Don't want to incriminate anybody else in this but it could well be why JJ is staying put. He's a decent lad is Johnnie and he will want no part in that believe me.

One of our Academy players has Liked a Tweet from a fan saying many of the younger players will be pleased that Bowyer has left. I have got the screenshot.

If the bullying claims are true, I take back all my support of him and blaming the players for lack of effort.

Tbh it was quite clear to some that he was a fuvking total bellend. Some put him in the legend bracket but true Charlton legends in recent times are Jacko , Powell and Curbs not Bowyer.

Have to agree that Bowyer is not a Charlton legend. Under 50 caps as a player followed later by three year’s management with one promotion (which was great) and one relegation (which was unlucky) does not provide that status.
Glad he’s gone but he should have left sooner

Glad he’s gone but he should have left sooner Think many people, myself included had one of the best days of their life with Lee in charge at Wembley - also keeping things together while the wankers were picking at our carcass. I think he will have some hero status with many for those things alone, if that day hadn't have happened I doubt he would even have been considered as a legend.

Fair points with regards Wembley being great and he helped keep things together whilst crooks were looting however I stand by my view - not a Charlton legend
