Hudson is a must IMHO and I would take the money for Bougherra and spend some of it on Jamie McCombe Bristol's centre half because nothing would get past them two at the heart of our defence.
Looking elsewhere I was impressed by Nick Carle, all left foot with accurate passes no matter if they are 10 or 30 yard balls who does that remind you of?
Finally Trundle would be a good addition I know him well from his Wrexham days and have followd his career since he left town.
