My guess is the Paul Elliott himself is not the problem, the problem is the real source of the funds, and the EFL want to know where it comes from and that it is genuine money that can be used. Because much of his "consortium" is either a mystery, or hasn't been fully put together yet, he is finding it hard to provide this information. Proof of funds have been proved to EFL If that is the case and I don't believe it is, then what is the delay and problem? Answer now please as you are obviously in the know.

My prediction is that Bowyer's departure will be announced on Tuesday. If Bowyer was going he would have gone by now and not having meetings about player recruitment etc etc .... Bowyer will end up another Powell that’s why he will stay does not want failure last thing on his CV .... Plus there no where for him to go .so if he did go he would disappear out of football Rubbish. Bowyer will work until his last day as that is the type of guy he is. m Make no mistake, he is listening to other offers and if one comes up he likes and it suits himself and his family he will take it.

Interesting. Might be an idea to wait before blowing up the building.

Honest question guys... A lot of you seemingly condemned myself for sending CF a personal email telling him to get out of our club. Are you happy to let them just treat us like a toy and continue to draw money from the club's very limited coffers? If not, then what are your alternatives and what are you doing to help save our beloved club? Too many sit on the fence of diplomacy when our club could easily cease to exist come 20/21 season starting...

Indeed. As Ive said earlier he couldn't get that sum back in the pre covid times so he will be interested in other avenues. Surely, as he increased the price following our promotion, he will accept that he will need to lower his price should he be taking offers again. No surely with him at all. Thought most would have grasped that by now. He is the sole reason we are in this mess.

reamsofverse you haven't closed this one yet. By the way, the one thing I hate most on forums is locked topics.

I had to lock them to take some unsavoury posts out of them and to read in peace where I am supposed to have criticised what the meeting was a bout on Friday night.

An application for the registration of a new lease granted by the proprietor of registered land. No idea what that means but I assume it was RD leasing the land to ESI

Assume this meeting hasn’t taken place yet, if it’s happening at all?

Assume this meeting hasn’t taken place yet, if it’s happening at all? Yes. The start of this week has come and gone. It's Wednesday in a few hours. Keep on voicing your major concerns Gaffer. You are far from alone in having them.

A separate question if I may;
As I understand it and in very simple terms, ESI has a deal with Roland to buy the Valley & Sparrows Lane from him over five years. That's 60 months. 7 or 8 of those 60 months have now passed.
Does anybody know if ESI has paid any of the money owed in this five year deal yet?

They’ve already paid the first instalment. £1 down, £49,999,999 to go. Well on the way!

In fact, ESI own less of the pitch than my Dad dug up with his fingers, and took home, when we played Stoke in 1985!

Richard Cawley tweeting that nothing expected imminently, but efl have their weekly Board meeting today, not confirmed that Charlton are on the agenda though! 37 days left until next season kicks off. Each day lost because of the embargo is more valuable than the last one. The embargo lifted on the eve of the opening day will be a blessing compared to the alternative, but if it can be lifted in the next 10 days or so then there'll still be enough time (just) for some productive pre-season activities - all other things being equal of course.

A 40,000 seat multi-purpose stadium?
That's another way of saying an athletics stadium I assume. With a football pitch in the middle.

What’s that? @lardiman Where has it come from? Is that Matt Southall’s January pitch book?
If so, I’m not at all surprised. Nor am I surprised there were no takers.
Or is it a spoof?
