Yes he is and it makes perfect sense. What I don't quite understand is how he could get so close to signing (dotting the i's crossing the t's, pen in hand etc) already knowing PPG maybe in play, the season may not finish, probable relegation, and no crowds for the forseeable. Nothing new there so my concern is that something else may have arisen to make him stop and reconsider!

My guess is hes waiting to see if the sale of the club to the 2 chancers is legit.Otherwise hes giving over a million to 2 people who own fuck all.

£3.8k Nimmer spent then. Hardly a shopping spree. Bit different from the £1.8m Mr Matt did.

It sounded to me, but I may be wrong of course, that HJ is in dialogue with the EFL, and awaiting some clarification from them , regarding finishing the season, maybe possible points deductions, and of the situation re ESI’s ownership.
He will no doubt have had questions also about RD, I would expect. He is clearly interested, in buying the club, but at moment, maybe not as far forward as we would like, hence him not needing to have contacted the former directors yet.
I hope things can progress soon, and he maintains his interest, as it’s not looking good for us in the short term. What are the chances of “ I will never walk away from Charlton “. Nimer paying the wages this week ?, Or maybe Southall has a bit stashed away to help out, as he cares so much.

This is not good news. Nobody in their right mind would buy the club right now without first squaring off the ex Directors. And as for simply taking on the debts to Duchâtelet. Words fail me. Then we’ve got the risk of relegation and the possibility of playing next season behind closed doors and the wankers who own the club, and who haven’t invested a penny so far, expect to receive a £1m from the buyer. I didn’t think I could get so angry about shit like this. I really hope this disgraceful fiasco comes back to haunt Nimer back home. He makes Johnson and Cummings look like paragons of virtue. Well said, I agree apart from the last sentence. You’re right. Looking back at what I said it doesn’t read as I had intended. I hope Johnson and Cummings get lost (never to be found) in the desert too.

He's telling you exactly what I have at the end of that article. You said it was pretty much a done deal? "Dotting the i's and crossing the t's) That's not how I read it at all, far from it. The last paragraph of that article pretty much says the same as I have. He wants the clause and I agree with him. It's that advanced with regards to the rest of it, it is juat a matter of dotting the i's and crossing the t's if the clause is agreed.

Jenkins is playing the game knows how desperate they are .. he holding out which is a dangerous game with other interested parties .. if he was the only one then it might work

Our club has so much potential it’s an almighty shame that it continually attracts chancers and lowlife liars...

Don’t think Jenkins is a chancer far from it .. he a business man who if he can get a cheaper deal then he will play the game no matter what he puts out in the media he still very much in the running ....

Some side info: RD was in the news yesterday as he will take the Belgian Football Federation to court again (antitrust court). His 4th attempt, and he actually has a pretty strong case. Some of the stuff goes back to 2003.

Huw Jenkins is a business man, with a wealth of experience in football and how it works. He understandably, won’t do a deal unless he feels it is right for him and his backers. It seems like a power struggle is on, and the one with the most power will win.
I have no idea who the other interested parties are, but from what I know of Jenkins now, I would be happy with him. He’s a massive improvement on what we have now.

He hasn't made a bid yet but he has been hovering for a while. I don't know a name.
