""As I say, I have been looking generally for a while to find the right opportunity and over last few weeks I was put in touch with a representative of the Charlton owners. They are looking to move out quickly, for someone to take it on and change their fortunes around," he says."
Looks like Zenga might have right connections, but certainly seems as though the current owners won't be involved.

Hello again hope you are all well.
The way I see it...
Jenkins = Trojan horse friendly safe face with EFL got some dosh to be let through by the EFL.
Nimer and the Dutch guy = sleeping partners provide additional money via the Man City kitty to the cause
Main thing Jenkins seems to know what he is doing.

That is my hope too, so why would Jenkins hold out on completion? I guess the risk factor is if it all goes t%%s-up from the EFL, he'll be left with the company but Nimer/Dutchie and have it away on their toes.

So basically, Jenkins wants it, but wants to wait for the EFL to decide if the season will be played out (a decision probably two weeks away). In the meantime, the tossers "in charge" right now want a sale quicker as they don't have a pot to piss in, or at least a pot they want to piss in. That was pretty much my take on it as well. Doesn't sound like it's going to be decided soon in Jenkins case. If we can get the season started (or at least confirmed to start on x date) then we might be on to something. His approach seems sensible. He's saying the right things, although maybe not for those who still think owners should just throw money at clubs and not expect anything in return.

We dont want Joe Cala at cafc he bankrupted Gateshead and he’s a bad owner, he’ll ruin Charlton, if he does come in the fans will go f**king mental and will never stop protesting untill he’s gone, we have interest from proper owners like Huw Jenkins, don’t ruin this for us.

Having read the article, I'm beginning to think that Jenkins could be superb in working along side Bows and Gallen. I think we could be the perfect project for him. We are so overdue a decent owner!

Well they will care if they think they can sell the club for £1m. However, even if they didn’t care there’s nothing in it for them to put the club into administration. I don’t think they are going to put any money in but the business can work money and not be out into administration. Yes there is, they don't have to pay the wages and fund any further losses. Makes sense to me. And not forgetting they have no money anyway so they might not have a choice. You are not wrong but if the club goes into administration they cannot sell it. It would be sold on by the Administrators. Thus the £1m Jenkins is, apparently, willing to pay for it would not end in with Nimer and Southall. In terms of them not having a choice, that would require someone else applying to the court to have the club liquidated and that would take time under normal circumstances, with the Courts having been closed for months it would take longer, and we would probably have heard about it already. What I’m saying is that Nimer can continue to put no money in and not put the club into administration and then try to sell it with the wages not paid.

This is not good news. Nobody in their right mind would buy the club right now without first squaring off the ex Directors. And as for simply taking on the debts to Duchâtelet. Words fail me. Then we’ve got the risk of relegation and the possibility of playing next season behind closed doors and the wankers who own the club, and who haven’t invested a penny so far, expect to receive a £1m from the buyer. I didn’t think I could get so angry about shit like this. I really hope this disgraceful fiasco comes back to haunt Nimer back home. He makes Johnson and Cummings look like paragons of virtue.

No, we might not go into administration for months. Someone has got to take legal action for a start. The bigger concern is could the players refuse to play.
