My mistake. According to Sky, 1m is the price agreed for the club. However Jenkins had exclusivity to negotiate, and that ran out last week. Genuinely don't know where we are now, Dky says there are other interested parties.

I've have just about had all I can take with Charlton at the moment. I am going to step away from all Charlton forums until the Takeover happens. Our Club is being kicked around like an old football.

Jenkins won’t do a deal until he knows we are not going to be relegated without the chance to play by the sounds of it

I can understand why he isn’t rushing to complete tbh, as frustrating as fans will find it. There is the possibility of relegation, the issue with the ex directors, plus dealings with ESI and RD, it’s far from straightforward., and that’s just what we know about.
I really don’t know what to think now, I’m stuck between HJ coming in with his own new backers, and the possibility, of him being the new “front” to satisfy the EFL, but the same money men as now, being in the background.
I guess we may never know, but I really hope it’s not Bassini, or another nightmare owner.

Hang in there Dick, we’ve come this far. It’s certainly stressful supporting Charlton sometimes, but we all try to stay optimistic. Maybe a new better chapter is about to open.We live in hope mate.

Let’s face it, we’re all desperate for some good news concerning the club hoping that a new owner comes along that has good intentions, has sufficient money to run the club efficiently and if necessary, has other people in their camp able to back them up. I think by now we are all aware of how complicated the affairs of the club are having been split into different entities by RD as well as there being financial obligations to former directors still to be resolved.
Is it possible that HJ was not as up to speed on the club as some on here are, he thinking negotiations would be a fairly simple matter. But Charlton is anything but, so I’m not too concerned, yet, if the “deal” has yet to be finalised. Business deals take time to conclude so there is still time, I’m not despondent at the moment.

Jenkins won’t do a deal until he knows we are not going to be relegated without the chance to play by the sounds of it This is exactly it. You can take it from me that everything has been ironed out and the only negotiation that is unresolved is the negotiation on where we will be playing our football next season. The payments are staggered and Jenkins, quite rightly in my opinion wants a clause in place for a re-negotiation on the price IF we are relegated without kicking another ball. Talks continue on that as we speak.

Who pay the wages this week?. It should be the current owners.. if I was taking over it would be from 1st June and then I’d be paying the June wages.. if Charlton is deducted points by not paying the May salaries I’d pull out..

I’ll be appalled if that’s true and Nimer and Southall walk away with £1m between them. PS I mean if it’s true that the club has been sold for £1m. The bastards only paid £1 for it.

The only price that can be renegotiated is what Duchâtelet will get paid for his loans, but he’s not the seller because he has no interest in ESI. It’s possible that all interested parties have been involved in cutting a deal, i.e. Nimer, Duchâtelet and the former directors, but if Duchâtelet is going to risk a haircut on his loans it beggars belief that he’s allowing ESI to sell for £1m. If he feels he has no choice he’s been well and truly shafted. Really hope Jenkins closes this out.

And if this does go through, and I hope it does - let's have no "We are f*cking rich" chants by some of our fans, eh! I don’t think that our cardboard cutout fans are of the chanting variety - only Prem clubs can afford them

Why post this? It's what we already know? Let's not regurgitate the same old bulletins as it helps nobody. I welcome your updates as normally you are the first to provide them but let's stop moving sideways with the news. This link just contains news that Jenkins himself has updated us with since.
