I think a plaque in front of his seat would be better, it means his seat can be used again as I’m sure Seb would rather someone be able to support us with his memory there or even a different coloured seat to commemorate where he was. Just my thoughts...

Good to see that staff from the club met with fans / fundraisers today to finalise the memorial for Seb Lewis. Around £11,000 has been raised, and it’s hard to believe that it’s coming up to a year now since Seb died very suddenly from Covid 19.
I believe that Seb’s family have said that they don’t want a statue, but hopefully something fitting can be arranged at the Valley for Seb.

The first thing should be to give Seb's flag a permanent home in the NW quadrant.

This is a ridiculous idea. Stick a plaque on the seat or something, not a statue.

Why not name an area of the ground after him.

A fitting tribute to Seb would be to name the main gates after him.

A fitting tribute to Seb would be to name the main gates after him. You mean the new main gates that Tony Keohane was tasked with installing but has disappeared into the wilderness after several consultation meeting with fans?

The club is unveiling the tribute mural to Seb Lewis at 2pm on 25 September.
The fan responsible for raising the majority of the money for Seb’s tribute has been banned from attending, as he is serving a 5 year stadium ban for allegedly throwing a flare onto the pitch.
The club should think again IMO, and rescind his ban. He has redeemed himself with his fund raising for Seb.

As upsetting as it will be for the chap that has raised the money I’m not sure that we want to encourage a system where ‘crimes’ can be forgotten if enough money is handed over. Do we?

Seriously? Great work by him. But can't buy your way out of trouble. Also would you be still saying it if the flare he threw hit someone and they got serious burns.

There seems to be some confusion whether it’s the police or the club that are preventing this fan from attending, but I’m told by a source close to the fan that it’s the club who are being very arsey.

The club are right to ban idiots like that. And money can't buy him a reprieve. The police would have been involved as well as the club. It's a family club and could do without hooligans like that.

I've spoken to a friend and he's suggested we call the west stand, the "Seb Lewis" stand. It would be a nice idea, as it represents the family aspect to Charlton which we all like to associate the club with.
