For me, no club should be having to buy testing equipment - because football shouldn’t be returning any time soon and perhaps not again this year. But don’t try and sell that to the EFL or Gordon Taylor.

What has Charlton come to? We can't even afford to buy testing kit for the players. It is a disgusting situation. We are in limbo, Southall still around, Nimer not put in a penny, still not cleared by the EFL on the Source of funds. Three ex directors taken ESI to court. It is a huge mess and not likely to change. I can only see one way out of this and that is Administration.

Southall wants £2m on the OS. By the wording, that doesn't even appear to include his shareholding either. Anyone else think that this is his desperate attempt to pay off his 'loan' from Bassini?

Either way I can’t believe that he could be stupid enough to think that any independent body (the Courts, for example) is going to rule in his favour over this money. On a separate note, based on what footballers earn in the Championship, and on the basis that they were paid at the end of April, if they’re worried about testing surely they could buy their own tests for a week or two? I understand that it’s not part of their contract but if my family’s health was on the line I wouldn’t think twice about paying out a few quid - especially when some of these men drive £50k cars!

His 'tenure', such as it was, didn't really have much to warrant a 2m pay off. A bunch of tweets stroking the fans hope's. Selfies with the kids. A disastrous transfer window that was the main reason we were in a relegation spot for the first time all season when lock down clicked on. Ransacking the club accounts for some range rovers, a nice flat and a payment for his wife for, well I suppose being his wife as we still have nothing in concrete about what she did to earn well over a years salary for many of us. All this at a club with a lack of infrastructure and a rock bottom budget. Let's be frank, his only moves on being appointed were to syphon off funds for himself and his cronies and he did nothing on the football side beyond finally getting Bowyer signed up.
You'd need a pretty odd calculator to add that lot up and come out with a bill for 2m. Or maybe a super duper one.

They’re in it together 100% imo. It’s just a farce all this play acting in the media. Nimer isn’t paying because MS is still around blah blah.... MS going nowhere blah blah.. Nimer will find some fool to pay a shit load of money to MS who will vanish along with Nimer and they’ll split the proceeds. It’s a scam imo. There’s a lot of scams out there currently and we are victims. RD will of course have the last laugh as all that heroism will not have happened without consequences. Foolish to think otherwise.

You could be right squareball , but as individuals we will probably never be able to find the answer. It needs a good media reporter to do a lot of digging who may find the correct answer.

O and of course giving his misses a nice fat sum for fuck all from the Charlton coffers. The guy should be locked up

Any talk of an new investor?. Yes, there has been some approach to CASTrust I believe. All very nebulous - maybe someone has something more concrete? The club was valued at a quid when these guys pitched up, but that may have slumped as we may be facing league one with a points deduction. Plus RD owns all the land.

Matt Southalls partner JadeKaty now stating on Twitter that MS has funds to service the club For the next 5 years Money and mouth rings a bell 🔔 An update on the Sunderland situation - many of us have watched Sunderland to I die - which again poses more questions on the motives of football club owners. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-8301291/Sunderland-buyers-20-5m-hole-accounts.htmlThey’re on the whole a scummy bunch looking to make a fast buck and then getting out of Dodge with a trunk full of other peoples money. I know it’s the Mail but the fact that there is interest but no offers is a huge clue that’s something isn’t right!
