Let’s hope we’re in the Championship to maximise these plans!

It's only LB's hope. I would want to hear from ESI that they are prepared to spend money in the summer. So far I have not seen or heard that they are and experience of January window not compelling. So not getting over excited.

So not getting over excited. I’d rather they say nothing and they just do it instead... Actions speak louder...

Isn’t that what we were told about January?
Those didn’t seem great!

There’s so much positivity on here I’m not sure what to do with it all!
Sounds like a good thing to me that they are already planning signings.

Before anyone says it. January doesn’t count. Any reasonable person understands this.

Our signings or lack of signings in January will have played a massive point in determining our safety/relegation.

Our signings or lack of signings in January will have played a massive point in determining our safety/relegation. No sensible owner would pay crazy January prices. It was a very quite transfer window for everyone. Completely agree it will play a big part but disagree that throwing around money in January was the right thing to do. Who says we could even do that with FFP rules? Surely that would’ve crippled us for summer spending? Let’s face it, we need a lot of spending in the summer.

To convert us into a mid-table side might have cost £7-8M for four players in terms of fees and wages. We didn't spend anything like that. What is the cost of relegation in terms of losing fans, TV revenue and the real talent at the club. It's not that we are certainties to go down but it doesn't appear that the odds have changed much. We can look back at two wins and a draw in our last six... but can we predict he same for the next six?

Delivery is what counts. It is that which makes us different from the other mammals. After the last 5 years of batshit crazy nonsense, we require people that 'do'.

Criminal not to have replaced Gallagher properly. Absolutely right willett A blend of small Club mentality and Stockholm syndrome has truly taken root at CAFC. So many of us are now willing to excuse our owners anything, including big talk and no follow-through with any action, and lying (to use an old fashioned expression) about owning the whole Club. Doubtless I'll be accused of a sense of entitlement for daring to suggest ESI should have actually DONE something in January to help Bowyer avoid relegation - something more than post a few tweets that is. Maybe we would be better off back in League One on a mickey-mouse budget again. No danger of breaching any FFP rules down there. Or danger of anything else, such as ever being noticed again.
