Other than the obvious Davidson and Alfie D , I really like the look of Morgan and Lapslie!
Maybe not everyone’s favourite , but think Albie Morgan has got the passing ability and vision to become a Johnny Williams type figure- as long as he continues to learn from him etc!

Alfie... but he needs to use his speed more wisely.. his control is wayward at top speed.. but plenty to like..

Ashley Maynard-Brewer. Not seen him but Ness seems highly rated.

I don’t think exciting is an adjective I would use to describe the youngsters that have played for the first eleven this season, more disappointing. The obvious potential future talent is Doughty, who has impressed me with his tenacity and general approach to his game.
I don’t watch the U23 side so maybe it needs someone who does to comment on any potential future stars that might me coming through the ranks, but for me there isn’t a Gomez, Lookman or Aribo on the horizon - hopefully the Academy talent production line isn’t drying up.

The under 18 team have got a number of players that could be future stars.

I’m not hugely impressed by this batch of youngsters if I’m being harsh but honest. They have done well to stand in during our time of need but the only one who really excites me is Alfie Doughty and even he needs a lot of finessing. I also like Albie Morgan but there are deficiencies there which have clearly caused Bowyer to have a downer on him. Davison too has something about him and is a work in progress As for the rest, neither Vennings nor Dempsey have shown me anything to get the juices running and Lapslie has not progressed and is League 1 standard if he’s lucky. I’ve not seen Maynard Brewer play so cant comment.

I’m not a great lover of his but fair play to you son, you did the business today. Humble pie time.

Doughty has so much potential, but not at LB imo.
