Jake Forster-Caskey is injured again too.
Bowyer said that Chuks Aneke is a long way from being fit enough.

Laughable that we offered him a new contract last season and let others go! Decent player but he’s never fit.

I know and understand that he will get many negative and harsh comments, but I can’t help but feel for the kid.
To have that many health issues at such a young age is tragic, especially when your work and life depend on it.
From a business point of view, of course it makes no sense for the club to continue to ‘employ ‘ him, but on a personal level, he is the one who is suffering the most, Mentally as well as physically.
I wish him only good luck, and think about how I would feel if he was my son. Health is more important than football.

I agree with your sentiments but I’m not sure that his health is in doubt, just his ability to play professional sport. This isn’t aimed at Lewis, specifically, but players that are unable to keep in contention are generally more concerned about their own career than the club that is, currently, paying them. Whom ever sanctioned his contract extension last season must be facing awkward questions right now.

Yes,I agree and understand that KHA, but to be permanently having operations and treatment, but still breaking down, must suggest he has serious physical problems, or maybe we have an issue with the medical treatment that he is receiving.
Any player who has a history of injuries, might well experience health problems in the future.
I agree the contract extension, with hindsight looks a poor decision, but whoever sanctioned it could not have seen that the problems would still be ongoing.
He is still very young to be having so many injuries, and I have to wonder what his future prospects are for his career. Maybe Tahnoon’s medical expert can offer him some hope.

So an article that doesn’t actually state whether Page was injured or not or the severity of said injury? Bit pointless, really.

According to the SLP, Sam Field is okay now apparently, so with Josh back it is like 2 new signings.

Looking like this could have just been an excuse all along! Ridiculous comment. Just looking for a reaction imo. Having 14 injuries or so at one time with a good chunk being first team / squad players would affect any team. The problem we have now after all these injuries is a lack of confidence. We also lack a player to link our attacks up. Gallagher did this before and now we need someone else to step into this role. We are clearly now (many knew this from the start) in a relegation battle and this will be on the players minds. It means they are less keen to commit to attacks as their belief in the results of these attacks is very low. This is where managers earn their keep. LB has a tough job to turn us into the team we were at the start of the season. Don’t be scared of the opposition. Be confident enough to get forward and take risks. We really need to get some clean sheets. We won’t survive if we continue to let in 2 goals a game, which it feels like we’re doing lately.

I just don’t believe others are right when they say that we would have been competing for the playoffs if everyone had been fit for the whole season.

I think we'd be a lot better off than we are though if we didn't get the amount of injuries we had. We'd have ridden the highs of promotion longer if we didn't lose key players. Our squad strength is bottom 5 in the league.

After being at Spurs and Real Madrid, it surprises me that his missus would let him join a “small” club like Charlton!!!
