Yes Bonne alluded to it after the game on Saturday, that something had happened, so presumably he was a witness to it.

Sadly other parts of Europe are less tolerant than the UK - I appreciate that we still have a long journey of travel too - and therefore the authorities need to apply the maximum sanction on offenders.

It's the reason the ref went over to their bench and had a word.

I think I saw this, it was during one of our corners and you could see Leko and their keeper Casilla talking but Leko was smiling and walking away. Disgusting if true

I certainly saw'a note being passed round, I just cant believe anybody can stoop that low.. I hope they are heavily punished and not just a fine, if found guilty...

I saw their bench pass a note on to the pitch and at the time I wondered whether it is allowed to pass on, what I assumed to be tactical instructions, via such a method. I can’t remember when it was exactly or whether it was before or after the ref had a word with their bench but it was certainly in the second half. Their bench were getting up to all sorts, at least four of them at any time shouting at their players, particularly a bloke with a beard. It amazed me how the fourth official let them get away with it. And this was the day after their club got the FIFA Fair Play award, something Frank Lampard was unhappy about. I hope if this allegation is proved correct they get a substantial penalty.

That’s coming up as “page not found” for me, so can anyone tell me where else I can read it ? I wondered if it was a reference to our never to be seen left back.

It's probably been taken down as it was speculation that a note was passed from the bench about Leko

There is no rule to prevent written messages being passed to players (although I doubt whether some on the WBAFC players I have had the misfortune to see down the years could have read or understood them).
Your observation about the Leeds bench was reinforced when Leeds played WBA, as the some antics were used. It ended with a yellow card for Bielsa (apparently because the actual culprit/s -his assistants - had not stopped after a warning). Presumably their shouting and waving was construed as intimidation.

Why did it take so long to come to a decision?

Why did it take so long to come to a decision? Can't say for sure, but racism is a very serious allegation. I'd rather see time taken before a verdict, than a quick judgment that might be less watertight. Casilla's name and character are now tainted by this. I wouldn't feel comfortable about that unless the authorities have taken all the time they need to be certain they are right.

Good, may that be a deterrent for all. No place for that in or out of the game.

There was no room to make a wrong decision and damage a reputation unnecessarily. If he was guilty, he deserves to be punished, but not on one person's say so. Glad they took their time.

The abuse on social media that the Club refers to is presumably anonymous so-called Leeds supporters, and other racist cowards.

So Leko gets racially abused, he and Bonne subsequently get abused on Twitter and the Leeds manager comes out and supports the character of his own player who committed the act in the first place!
Disgusting!
