Rotherham might have to offload players this summer and I wouldn't mind their top scorer from last season, Oluwasemilogo Adesewo Ibidapo Ajayi who scored seven goals.
For those who aren't aware, his is better known as Semi Ajayi, our former player who has developed into a good goalscoring centre back.
Like I said he netted seven times this season just gone and four times the season before that and he's still only 25.

We definitely need to try to replace Cullen with a similar type of player.. he was our quarterback and will be badly missed if he can’t be signed again...

I think we'll buy him Andy, but it might just be with the Aribo money.
The new owner, whoever he/they may be, need to want to come in and push our great club forward and start by ensuring that one stays and the other signs.

Which leads to an interesting question , if we could only have one signed to a 4 year deal.. would you rather Cullen or Aribo...? NB I know we would all like both , but if what Reams alluded to did come true , who would you want...? For me it’s tough but Cullen..

Just seen this about Josh Cullen but I'm not reading much into it because I saw something similar last summer. I think there is every chance that he will be back. www.kumb.com/story.php?id=133570

That’s a really tough one hhd . Joe can come up with some moments of magic sometimes that show how good he could become . Josh isn’t that type of player, but is brilliant at what he does, and is so consistent every week.
I think I have resigned myself to Joe leaving , and that’s really disappointing, but if the money we got was used to buy Josh , that would make it a lot easier to accept. I would be really happy to have either.

The player coming in is Johnny Williams who is signing a new contract. Absolutely over the moon with that We absolutely need to nail down the midfield which won us promotion. Start with Williams, then there's the others. We have top central defenders, but there has to be a question at left back? And we need at least two decent strikers. For sure we might shop at Lidl but don't be surprised at a bottom six finish if we do... alternatively we might push on but the costs are eye watering!

Just a quick message to many people on any site
Purrington Belik Cullen Maxwell
Are NOT our players so it don’t matter if you say yes or no to them staying because we have NO control over their future they belong to other clubs who will decide their future....

If we can't re-sign Ben Purrington, then maybe we can look at Jake Bidwell (ex-Brentford/QPR). He's not the best defender but when I watched him at Bees a few times, he was a really good crosser of the ball. A bit like Lewis Page but possibly with a better delivery.

We are now the perfect club to loan to. We're improving players and increasing their value, so every reason to expect some more good ones next season.

Blimey, Jordan Cousins and Callum Harriott. That didn't work out for them! Stephen Henderson as cover for Dillon Phillips perhaps, Maxwell was only on loan.

I repeat, Chris Maxwell is a better goalkeeper than Dillon, Bow just stayed loyal to him and gave him the run in teh side that he deserved.
Don't forget, Maxwell is a Championship goalkeeper already, Phillips isn't and in my opinion not yet good enough to play at that level, he has to improve on his all around game.
I would get Maxwell back or bring in Ben Amos as soon as possible as he's also used to playing at that level and has just been released by Bolton.

Dillon's a good shot stopper at the moment and that's it...I think he's got the temprement to play... When we drew 0-0 at Bradford a couple of years ago, he stood up well against a very loud and large partisan crowd, and clearly bounced back from Sunday's howler.... but its the technical skill level that's required at the next level up, that I'm not convinced on

If Dillon is to be considered the number one for next season, a good back up may be Dean Gerken just released by Ipswich. Age 34 now but bags of experience, been a good keeper in his time and should be a relatively cheap signature.

I read somewhere that Bowyer was going to sit down with all the players, individually, on Monday so I'm guessing that some of these decisions will, already, have been made.
Does anyone know when the outcome will be made public? It doesn't, really, make much difference but I am impatient and I want to know which players are being let go.

Ha ha, now how you feel about being impatient mate, I'm already trolling through other sites in search of any scrap of news! Sky showed interviews with Pearce and Lyle on Monday and they were clearly at the training ground so you're probably right about LB speaking to the players then. I'm sure we will hear soon enough, but that doesn't help us wanting to know now does it!

Strange because Wimbledon fans liked him as we do. Isn't the idea of loaning to improve your players and bring them back?

I heard the Millers gaffer being interviewed a number of weeks ago and he was keen to have Ben back for pre-season but he appreciated that the player would have to want to return. If Ben doesn't then with a year left on his contract Rotherham would be looking for a fee.

You're probably right about them looking for a fee but if they don't, really, fancy playing him and he doesn't, really, want to be there then they could end up paying him for a season and he'll leave for nothing next summer. I assume that Rotherham have at least one, if not two, left backs that they believe are better than Purrington, or why would they have loaned him out for the season? I can see a deal being done, assuming that Bowyer fancies him in the Championship.
