If he goes he's stupid and only going for the money he could stay with us a be a big part of the team.theres no loyalty Never understand this sentiment. If someone offered me three/four/five times my salary at a bigger/more reputable company, I'd bite their hand off, as most people would, I'm sure. But because he's a footballer, he's not being loyal. He'll want to better himself and, rightly or wrongly, if he feels City (or Arsenal or Southampton) gives him that opportunity, then he should take it. I'd wish him good luck. There’s very little loyalty now that the ££s are soooo great and why should there be as its supply and demand. If Joe had a career ending injury next Sunday (lord forbid) then he would have no contract protection at all and his golden future would disappear with him to A&E. Let’s get behind him and worry about next season after the dust has settled 👍

Josh Morris is one of three players to be released by Scunthorpe United. Bit of a surprise that. Rather like Billy Clarke he has not been the same player since his injury. But who knows if he’s on Steve Gallen’s Div 1 list (unlikely).

Thought they offered him a new contract but he declined it .Maybe wrong Yes mate that's right just seen this below. Reading, Queens Park Rangers and Millwall are among a host of clubs lining up moves for Scunthorpe United midfielder Josh Morris on a free transfer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club. Morris is set to become a free agent next month after rejecting several offers to extend his contract at Scunthorpe. The 27-year-old's availability on a free transfer has alerted a number of Championship and League One clubs as they look to bolster their attacking options. Morris was one of Scunthorpe's shining lights in a disappointing season which resulted in relegation, scoring five goals and providing six assists in just 19 League One outings.

He was Jay Minging when I saw him for the U23s. He played at centre half but I have heard he is a defensive midfielder.

Though Dijksteel had a really good game at Donny. He's improving every game. I agree ... but he not a full back never has been he is a DM / CB that where he started in Holland and played in our youth system he been forced into an emergency right back really ... but it’s not his position . He gets caught out of position to many times look at Doncaster goal on Sunday where was he , Cullen had to try and cover also when your playing wing back / right back you need to be able to supply crosses, his distribution like Solly is awful .... but in his defence he is not a full back .. completely diff game then DM/CB... that’s why I say we need a proper right back in the summer with Solly only as cover He doesnt need to be defended. He is a good solid young player.. Going by what Lee Bowyer states, his future is at full back... Did you blame him for the header Bauer missed on Friday?.😉

Jeddez nobody will ever convince me that Dillon Phillips is anything other than bang average. His distribution in the two play-off games has been poor, his footwork for the Doncaster goal at their place was poor. Don't get me wrong he is a fabulous shot stopper but he needs to improve on his all round game.

The first player we should sign if we go up is Portsmouth's Jamal Lowe.
A goal every four games as a winger is impressive.

I think he’s come on leaps and bounds this season and if he improves those bits then he can achieve great things...

I think we could throw around like confetti the names of former players to make a point - all I was doing was passing on the views of someone who has seen the player play and his opinion, not mine, as to whether he would be a suitable signing for Charlton. He felt, not me, that the player in question would be a gamble to say the least. I thought that what’s this forum is all about - oh, well remember Barry Endean?

You decided to dismiss my opinion so I put in a name who was missed by countless scouts until someone took a gamble and it paid off... Not all will, but some might and that’s why we should trust in SG et al as if they’ve seen something your pal hasn’t then he may be worth the gamble.

Indeed, scouts are professionals paid to unearth talent and we supporters are mere bystanders expressing opinions and discussing all matters Charlton Athletic. By no means did I mean to dismiss your opinion without an alternative view being put forward. Have a good day and let’s all concentrate on Sunday👍🏻

If we go up, the first players we need to sign are the midfield who got us out of this poxy division! We will see Aribo, Bielik, Cullen and Williams at Wembley on Sunday as will every Championship club! Whether Cullen and Bielik come back on loan, who knows? But we all should know by now that you have to have a competitive midfield in the Championship.
