Well done in keeping Taylor. The new signings are great additions to the squad. And a lot of the injured players are back . Also if need another striker then always the players that have been released.

Dust has settled and slept on it. Would of been nice for ESI to have made at least one perm signing BUT all in all not as bad as what I originally thought. Ball is now firmly in Bowyers court , it’s now time for him and the players to step up and get us some results. No more excuses regarding injuries etc he has the bodies now and Taylor stays , let’s see if he is tactically up to it.

Swapped Leko for Green, Gallagher for McGeady, Kayal for Davis and Ledley for Smith. Injury nightmare over and Taylor didn’t go. Not spectacular but it’ll do for me. Think Matt Southall enjoyed yesterday and definitely put the work in. It was exciting and his twitter stuff was a bit of fun. Don’t know why some people are getting so narky about it all!

Agreed. It's not just about bodies in through the door, they have to compliment the existing squad and fit in, to suit the style of play that Bowyer promotes and be prepared to roll their sleeves up when things get tough. I feel McGeady will have something to prove with us,and if he doesn't do it, he's only here for a few months. Not much lost. I too think we'll be fine this campaign. Believe me, we would have been straight back down under RD's reign.

Yes agree it wasn’t as spectacular, as many fans were hoping for, but I’m happy enough, keeping Taylor was the biggest thing as we couldn’t replace him .
LB has obviously identified our frailties as being in midfield, and strengthened that up rather than the back line. We no longer need to play the youth players who are not ready yet.
McGeady is an interesting one if LB can get the best out of him in the way he has with other players, he certainly has the quality, and offers something different to what we have.
Whether it was for money reasons or something else, a marquee signing on marquee wages was pretty unlikely when we haven’t yet offered Taylor enough to stay. In the summer, when players are out of contract, and our loan players have departed, new players will arrive and the whole wage structure wii need to be reviewed
Now was not the time to start to plan for next season, it was bring in players to do a job this season to ensure survival. Some won’t agree, and that’s fine, but I think we are stronger now . The new players plus the returning from injuries players will be enough to keep us in this league and ready to plan properly for next season.
I thought we might bring in a defender and a striker, but what do I know ? I’ll leave it to the professionals to do their job and get it right, they have been far more right than wrong so far. Keep the faith.

Birmingham fans aren't happy about it ... especially as they are one of our rivals for relegation

Need to be shrewd in January as there ain’t much about and prices are mental. I’d settle for being a well run club and consolidating for a few seasons. Definitely got enough quality to compete at this level and maybe more. Good luck to Matt Southall. Seems an enthusiastic geezer and obviously switched on. Things are looking up!

We need to get past security on match day and get to Ren, Speakman etc. This window has been absolutely disgusting. And we have no idea what's going on."

In terms of the loans vs signings what we have is what I expected though without Lyle staying, so personally I'm OK with it all.
Not quite enamoured where MS is concerned. I feel he needs to pull back on the social media thing as it will bite him at some point but that's for him to deal with.
The team has been bolstered so Lee et all need to get on with it as do we. Taylor is still playing for a deal if he doesn't like our terms so he should come out firing, which is a win win. On top of that McGeady is also playing for not only a future but pride.
Confident in Lee get things back on track so let's just get on with it and get behind the boys. I don't want to be going to Accrington style situations again in grounds with 2000 people.

Thought it was a decent window in the end but hard to tell until we see all of the new players. Aside from Gallagher we didn't lose anybody making a serious contribution. As for the "social media thing", our club has missed having a promotion strategy, and the board should engage with the fans. We had a vacuum which was filled with people speculating as well as making up conclusions which didn't tie up with reality.

We had a vacuum which was filled with people speculating as well as making up conclusions which didn't tie up with reality. Yes there has been a vacuum and for a very long time, alongside cack handed efforts that were very damaging. It is a modern fashion for the figureheads of football clubs to be all over social media but personally I do not think it is wise. There is an element of damned if you do damned if you don't, I guess. A solid communication strategy should be lead by a proper communication expert imho. As I said, I'm OK with the window. Keeping vital elements of last season's success plus a few add ons was a decent enough move.

I hope we have enough goals from Taylor, Bonne and Green. Who knows, maybe Hemed will contribute?!

spoke to Blues fans yesterday , they said on Davis, he'll get stuck in but cant pass and wont score , good tackler He’s been brought in to do a job I guess, and plenty of Blues fans seem unhappy to lose him. We need to get back to keeping clean sheets, so we have a solid foundation to build on Hopefully he will be able to contribute to that.

spoke to Blues fans yesterday , they said on Davis, he'll get stuck in but cant pass and wont score , good tackler He hasn’t got a goal or assist in the last two seasons, so probably correct.
