Just to play devil's advocate - three of them are loan players and only one of the remaining three currently has a contract that runs beyond the end of June.
But right at this moment we do indeed have six players who could well be playing for their countries this coming weekend. Let's hope they all return to SE7 in good shape.

Oh come of it, one plays for Montserrat and another for Antigua and Barbuda!!!
Three players as lardiman says are on loan and not ours.
When the likes of Josh Parker is getting International call up's then you know there are not enough players around to fill shirts.

Getting picked to represent your country (no matter how small that country is) is quality -- No doubt about it.
Well done all six players...

Playing for your country is something to be proud of, makes no difference if your team are ranked number 1 or number 301.
Congratulations to all 6, you have achieved more than those trying to be little your call ups.

It's not a question of belittling anybody.
But if your country only has a tiny population and is hundreds of places down in the FIFA rankings, being one of it's best 25 home grown footballers is highly unlikely to mean you are as good as one of the best 25 home grown footballers in a much bigger country (like England for example).
I'm sure every player called up for his country is just as proud, regardless of his country's size or population or FIFA ranking. But let's not pretend that simply having 6 International players in our squad - regardless of which countries they play for - makes Charlton Athletic something special in this league.

However true it may be, its still belittling. Perhaps you need the definition? Belittling: Dismissive of the importance of a person or thing.
Just like the paragraph in your post above.

If you disagree with my point of view, why not explain why you think I'm wrong instead of posting a meaningless phrase like this. Come on, let's have a grown-up conversation. Why don't you agree with what I posted?

I don't think there is any disagreement between the content of your 6th post and what I posted later. I simply pointed out that players representing small countries a long way down the FIFA rankings are unlikely to be as good as players for big countries much higher in the FIFA rankings. So just counting the number of International players in our squad (and disregarding which countries they play for) is not a reliable measure of the quality of the squad, or reason to suggest that our squad is better than others in this league because of it. If you prefer to read that as me belittling the players concerned, or saying that they should not be as proud to play for their countries, then go ahead. I can't help it if you're going to take offence at things you think I'm saying, rather than what I actually said.

I included what you did post in an edit -and who knew you were just talking about yourself? There's no point arguing for argument's sake. I'm not surprised that the notion of Josh Parker getting an International call-up has raised some eyebrows among Charlton supporters, as he has not shown any quality since he put on a Charlton shirt. Getting to play for your country is usually associated with playing good football for your Club. So either the FA of Antigua & Barbuda have not been paying attention to Parker's recent form, or the quality of their International squad really is at his level. Now if anybody wants to go into a fit of righteous indignation about what I've just said, then be my guest. I agree with jonkool it's time to move on.

What you stated about not being belittling was patently untrue. Not a question of interpretation, so there's no argument for argument's sake. There. Now let's move on.

Some real pieces of hard work on here at the moment whom I am not not prepared to give my free time and energy. They have plenty go say for themselves on all matters bar the football and you never see them on the match threads.
These people are the reason this forum is shutting down at the end of the season, I am simply not prepared to give them a platform to pedal their shit any longer for a minute longer.
Our facebook page will stay open.
As you are all aware I post on here very little these days and just overseeing it through to the end in June.

I cannot believe people are prepared to argue over something like Charlton's international call ups. It beggars belief that we have reached such a low point where fans of the same football club will argue with each other over every mundane thing.

If congratulating the six Charlton players picked for international duty is classed as arguing -- Then I plead guilty!!

I understand your comment, essex but I think the argument occurs because some people find any opportunity to put our players down and others react defensively to that.
'Others' being 'Supporters' rather than those who apparently believe themselves God's gift to football which entitles them to criticize every aspect of CAFC.
But hey! Everyone's allowed an opinion, as much as anyone else is entitled to challenge it. Well, at least they should be, without getting banned.

I believe this thread wasnât started as a congratulatory thread for the six called up , neither was it set up as our players are internationals but the countries they play for arenât very good....
It looks like it was created to say that our team has 6 internationals and that is probably a record for league 1 , although with the loan players included I doubt whether it would get past a strict Norris McWhirter in his heyday...
Maybe a separate congratulatory thread should of been set up as Iâm sure itâs a proud moment to represent your country at whatever level.... On the flip side tho , Iâve not seen a thread with the title âWhy are we leaving an International striker on our bench....?â
