Considering the start big Nabby had to his Charlton career I have to say after watching him yesterday that I really don't see how Pearcey will get his place back at the moment. Nabby was solid yesterday both in a three man then a four man defence after LB switched it. The sheer size of him must be imposing to opposing strikers who are not getting much change out of him at all at present. I wasn't impressed with JP at Barnsley up until the point he got injured and he didn't have the best of games at Blackpool either. I also think that Nabby for his size is pretty quick and is a yard faster than JP so when the skipper is fit he'll have to work very hard to regain his place that's for sure. Pearcey spends to much time wrestling with his opponent and has his own mad moments of wrecklesness too. It’s really good that the gaffer has some very difficult decisions to make in terms of goalkeeper, defence and in midfield. He now just needs the same problem up front!

Big imposing physical CB who can thread a pass through. Always liked him, a bit raw at first but needed time to develop and still only young. So far this season he has come on leaps and bounds, well done Nabby.

With Williams and Cullen always looking to run into space Sarr will have options for passing as well as the long ball to Taylor or the opposite wing.
Looking forward to next Saturday already!

Having purchased tickets at Posh I see that the original tranche went very quickly and now we have 1300 going. Division 1 you’re having a laugh! We’re Charlton Athletic and we’re going up! It’s also noteworthy that in the 101 season Matt Taylor list his place after injury when Leon Cort took over the role - sounds familiar?

I see Nabby has been released by Huddersfield. I would have him back in a heartbeat.

Never a dull moment when Naby played. I loved him, but he had my heart in my mouth on more than one occasion. What a left foot though!

I noticed that he started for Huddersfield in the Championship playoff final last Sunday, but was hooked after 57 minutes. The change was probably tactical, but having been subbed at half-time in our playoff final he’s created an unfortunate and unenviable record. I always liked him and would enjoy watching him play again, but I’m not sure he’d be an on strategy signing.

Pearce has gone as a player, Inniss is a waste of space so between the two surely there is enough dosh freed up between those two to cover Nabby's wages.

Sarr has proven himself at Championship level and we can expect there will be plenty of takers offering perhaps a two year 7 figure deal. There's no way he will return to the third tier unless relegated AND so way Sandgaard will pay his market value. Once again the only way we will land any real quality is through loans or a player with an horrendous injury record. As an aside, I really enjoyed watching him the other day.

If you're looking to play out effectively from the back then he's a great fit. Absolutely superb at feeding the left side with balls that are actually played in front of the LB/LWB. He also has the cross-field switch that only Llera seemed to have in the past for us.
Plus you get height in both boxes and you get some goals.
Yes, some passes will go astray but he was always asked to start things off with positive passing and to take more risks than anyone else. It's a 100% yes from me but I suspect he will stay in the Championship or play in Europe.

100% yes from me. Did well last season for a team that was 1 game away from the premier League. Scored a couple of goals too. He is miles above what we currently have - and we'd be lucky to get him back - not that I expect that to happen unfortunately.

I can't believe the 'nos' on here for a player who's just finished the season playing at the top-end of the Championship.
