Pardew on the OS says no funds around for Powell. I am amazed how short-sighted this board are to allow Powell to leave the club and listen to the continuous shite that comes out of Pardews mouth...unbelievable! He's better than that Derren Brown fellah on Channel 4 for mesmerising the board with mind games and he's at it again...just read his quotes. The guy who isn't renewing his ST isn't alone and the youngsters who think that's showing disloyalty haven't grasped the point. The club's falling apart!! It's not all about getting back into the Premiership...it's feeling the heart and soul of "Charlton". From when you arrive at the Valley, what you see, feel, feel from everyone around you, the respect you have for the players and they you. That unison is not there any longer it dissipated many years ago and now we cling on to an identity hoping that the experience will be as was! Pardew is conning the club and fans but at least he says he questions his own management at times this season However wasn't he the one spouting-off at the beginning of the season about how experienced he was in this league and he knew what was needed to get out of it!! Our board is commendable in numerous ways but incredibly naive in others. Mistakes have cost the club £40million as a guess and rising!! Promotion?... definitely not on the agenda with Pardew and not with present incumbent board - we're f*cked frankly!! So free ST offers ha!ha!ha! yeah right! Why not offer the ST plus a Ferrari and World Cruise on QE3 cos it's never gonna pay-out but nevermind thinks the board lets get the mugs to buy an ST!! Wisen up and get shot of Pardew now...not at the end of next season when again CAFC are no more than a mid-table at best Championship club!!

You sound Angry reddyfreddy and I don't blame you mate, I agree Pardew should start the exodus of rubbish waiting to be put in the skip in the car park!!
Ive said it all season, why have a 3 man management team?? worst still why have one when we can only finish 11th?? How many managers/coaches do we need in the dugout?
Get rid of Parkinson and bring in Powell as a defnsive coach and do likewise with the forwards, Kinsella's already there to coach the midfielders.
Alan Pardew is not good enough to attract better players or improve the ones we have neither do some players have respect for him.
Some of our players have not improved because they do not have it in them, then what happens is they get sick of hearing the same voice piping out the same things and ultimately a stalemate occurs, that is what has happened this season.
I understand and respect fans who want to give him until January but if we are off the pace and destined for failure again next season come that time then we have big big problems.
I really am concerned that we are one season away from from going back to where we came from all those years ago, we are too close to the edge to have our future remain in the hands of Pardew.
Great win today don't get me wrong but let's not get carried away, the mistakes of this season have to be addressed in the summer, we can't go into next year relying on youngsters especially when they are alongside some average players, the kids need quality players around them so they can progress further.

YAAAAAAAAAAWN Pardon me but you make no reference to the opening post choosing to pull me up instead very boring. Can't think where I have given my opinion anywhere else on the site since we started so I find your "don't start again" comments very compulsive. Why not tell me what you do not agree with in my post rather than telling me what to do? Or do you think I am reddyfreddy

I did Donna yes I deleted my rude comments as I thought you were our friend from Middlesbrough My editing obviously reflects my apologies. I wasn't having a moan, those days are over but I will agree wholey/partially with fans who have issues along the same lines as I do, I just won't be the creator of those kind of threads anymore which I think is sensible. Welcome to the site by the way A great win today I was made up And yes I do remember that thread yes Apologies again Donna I really did think you were somebody else as sabotage is never far away in this game unfortunately, hope you understand.....Paul

Donna - Wadya mean "Redddy isn't worth answering" you already have haven't ya!!! So why the dismissive arrogant tone then? Why don't you make a valid point. If you want to make a post then at least be constructive with the contribution rather that trying to be "clever"!!! I've made points that a whole shedload of people feel not someone who just wants to say " it's only a game chill dude" and thinks that's cool.

Mistakes have cost the club £40million as a guess and rising!! Yes but they f*cked up with their own money in the main and have now put a further £15M plus to keep the ship afloat. The Boards biggest problem was failing to sign Billy Davies as manager. That led them to go for Dowie and we all know what happened - sacked for off the field stuff. When Pardew became available he was a standout choice given who was available (they had already interviewed 20 or so before they got to Davies and then Dowie). Pardew needs to be given a chance to make it happen next season.

Fair shout bing, but I think the concern is amongst fans, Pardew's chance could well be OUR last one of going back up in the immediate future and that is worrying based on this season.

Fair shout bing, but I think the concern is amongst fans, Pardew's chance could well be OUR last one of going back up in the immediate future and that is worrying based on this season. It's a tough call but knowing the Board, they will support Pardew. If we don't get up next year, it doesn't mean we wont get up in the future. Over the years our Board have got most things right. They made a cock up with Dowie and Reed (a gamble that didn't pay off). I think Pardews main strength is his positivity, it's also his big weakness. He tinkered around too much with formations, micro tactics and players. The longer the season went on, the more fiddly he became and the poorer we played. It looks to me that already, he is going to have to cut back on playing staff. That may well be the best news we've had all season. The less the numbers, the more he will have to pick a team and a formation and stick with it.

reddy...I for one really don't like your well out of order comment that the the board are taking us for mugs and in doing so suggesting that anyone who buys a season ticket is one...you need to think before you say that kind of thing...absolute crap statement and logic. You 'obviously' don't know any of our board members if you're prepared to make a daft unfounded statement like that.

Oh Reams you have me all excited now!
Now I have slept on it I have to say that I really enjoyed yesterday - wished we had put a few more of our chances away and would have loved Mattys blockbuster to have gone in (that would have been goal of the season as he ran from the halfway line I think to hit that!)
And little Jonjo - brilliant, as was Basey and Wagstaff. And Sir Chris........ perfect ending ;D

You 'obviously' don't know any of our board members if you're prepared to make a daft unfounded statement like that. Knowing board members is irrelevant!! The issue is offering something that isn't in reality attainable!! If you are fortunate enough to believe in your own naivety that the club will get promoted then by all means renew your ST and live in hope of a free Prem ST. You're just the person they wanted - nothing wrong with that! My point is that the board know full well that STers won't re-new in same numbers as season now finished so some "carrot" is needed. The free Prem ST is it and it's an empty offer that won't pay-out as I said so may as well offer more on top as it's all a waste of time!!

I'm a fan so will renew my ticket and hope (as I am forever aptimistic at the beginning of a season) that we get up. For me the promise of a free ticket is a bonus that I will welcome when! it happens.
