Looking good. God that must take long to mow with such a small lawn mower...

Makes me proud to see The Valley looking good. Gives some pride to the club Maybe next season Roland will let us host his little "tournament".

Would love to see Jimmy Seed Stand built up, the stadium has been a horse's shoe for too long.

It annoys me more that the East Stand is not the same height as the North...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

It annoys me more that the East Stand is not the same height as the North...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I find it quite remarkable that the two largest features of the old Valley, the East terrace and the Southern heights, have been replaced by stands which are now the smallest in terms of capacity.
Anyway, back on topic, does anyone know how the new pitch and drainage coped with the recent storms?

There is outdated planning approval for a small second tier on the East Stand (14 rows deep if I remember correctly) to bring the stand up to the same height as the North Stand.

I sat near the top of the West once and the floodlights from the East were shining in my eyes, because of the height difference, that must be really annoying.

Genuinely makes me smile when I see how beautiful our stadium is again after all the neglect.

Majestic. I like what they've done with the sides too.
Really looking forward to next weekend now.

It looks like the club have erected nets for the warm up before the game. I saw a few wayward shots hitting people last season as the teams warmed up and were put through their pre-match routine and called for netting then. Obviously it comes down before kick off.

Good to see all white nets:I hope we've seen the back of those red and white things.
Sooooo tacky.

Ha! They're welcome to them!
Do you agree the white ones are 'classier'?

Definitely although I do like the Black one's City used to have however they wouldn't work when the goals are too close to the stands.

I like the City ones in close-up,but from a distance they are practically invisible making the goals look a little underdressed.
I am a bit anal about this among a myriad of other things;stanchion should never be painted in club colours - racing-car green only.
I don't like the club badge on the shorts;it demeans it.You might as well stick it on the arse and be done with it.
Better stop,I've got housework to do...

They had those last season too mate - I sit right behind it. Obika still managed to clear it last season and smash a woman in the face just as she was taking a sip of coffee, mind you.
